Responsibilities will include:
  • Supervise security administration activities on various platforms, applications and systems, ensuring access is granted in accordance with security control policies, established standards and procedures
  • Articulate the business value and impact of advanced technical and non-technical information and understands when to escalate issues
  • Ensure information controls, back-up and recovery strategies are in place across all environments
  • Document small-to medium-scale projects and delivers presentations with minimal supervision
  • Participate in audit support activities, as they pertain to access administration, for both internal and external audits
  • Identify opportunities and leads effort to reduce problems and optimize support
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to IT project and Operations team
  • Delegate project duties to project team and ensure they are on track with project deliverables
  • Provides team guidance and leadership on troubleshooting department issues
  • Answer general inquiries regarding information security practice or security access
  • Oversee staff participation in implementation of security related projects for new/enhanced technology
  • Interface with Line of Business Information Risk Managers (IRM) to identify and resolve potential access control risk issues
  • Commit on schedule and budget constraints for the project. Provides budgetary status of program against plan and future work load.
  • Capable of translating business requirements into functional technology requirements
  • Facilitates business calls for high severity incidents
  • Includes people management responsibilities including performance management, mentoring, coaching as well as team budget responsibilities.
  • Propose process changes to improve the efficiency and quality of work
  • Responsible for the overall success of the operations and ensures the task is completed on time and within SLA and are aligned with the business' strategies
  • Improve current processes and drive positive change in: controls, data quality and regulatory compliance
  • Work with global operations management to promote risk awareness and compliance, in line with established IT Control policies, processes and procedures
  • Develop and implement effective processes to identify, escalate, report and track risk related issues
  • Partner and coordinate with Information Owners, IRMs and Application Support teams and I&AM Controls and Governance to improve controls around access provisioning
  • Perform all analysis required for control/audit requests and closure of RCSA Action Plans
  • Support all internal/external audits and ensure timely and effective response for all requests for information on a priority basis
  • Manage any ADHOC compliance and security-related projects as required by management
  • Provide on-going (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) analysis and reporting on team performance and progress

This position is anticipated to require the use of one or more High Security Access (HSA) systems.  Users of these systems are subject to enhanced screening which includes both criminal and credit background checks, and/or other enhanced screening at the time of accepting the position and on an annual basis thereafter.  The enhanced screening will need to be successfully completed prior to commencing employment or assignment.  

  • 8+ years Supervisory/Management Experience.
  • Solid understanding of the Windows, UNIX/Mainframe/Midrange technologies
  • Expertise with various scripting tools such as VBS, Perl and/or Python.
  • Excellent familiarity with NTFS and Share Level Provisioning.
  • Ability to efficiently troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve problems.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Ability to work in a high pressure environment with minimal supervision.
  • In-depth understanding of Information Security policies/practices; Incumbent should have prior experience in the industry, with specific experience in platform administration.
  • Up to date knowledge of current Information Security trends and potential threats based on weaknesses of various software/development packages.
  • Ability to learn, apply and teach new technologies quickly.
  • Familiarity with the following products: Microsoft Access, Word and Excel.
