The Role
The ICAAP, Recovery & Resolution (R&R) Planning is a newly created team which sits within the J.P. Morgan Bank Luxembourg S.A. (JPMBL) Finance team. It is in the context of the development of the Finance function to support the development of J.P. Morgan’s Luxembourg Bank as a Significant Institution. The individual reports into the ICAAP, Recovery & Resolution Planning Manager. Key responsibilities of the role include:
  • Perform ad hoc and regular Capital Adequacy Assessments for the bank and its new products/ businesses
  • Producing JPMBL ICAAP reports, Recovery Plans, and Resolution Plan input
  • Support Recovery & Resolution Planning for the JPM group
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders in the different businesses (e.g., Treasury Services, Investor Services) and functions (e.g., Legal, Tax, Finance, Operations, Risk, etc.)
  • Partnering with stakeholders to providing guidance and analysis, help identify, manage and escalate issues/ risks/ dependencies and facilitate communication across teams
  • Delivering multiple complex regulatory requirements to very tight deadlines, in cooperation with a number of stakeholders and contributors across the firm
  • Coordinating working group meetings, setting the agenda, preparing meeting materials, documenting minutes and ensuring clear ownership of action items
  • Establishing and facilitating forums for discussion of issues, progress and dependencies as and when needed, working in concert with the R&R and Capital Management leads
  • Developing understanding of regulatory policies and assessing their impact

Required Competencies

  • Document drafting and control, very good MS Excel and MS Word knowledge
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
  • Fluency in English
  • Qualified accountant (ACMA, ACCA, ACA) / MBA / Masters in Finance /  Diploma Kaufmann
  • Knowledge/experience of banking finance & regulations are essential
  • Knowledge of capital planning, ICAAP, recovery & resolution requirements a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Extensive accounting / financial experience
