About Financial Information Reporting Solutions & Internal Reporting:
 
Global Financial Information Reporting Solutions (FIRS) was established to define and deliver target end state operating model and technology requirements to strategically source data required for both internal and external reporting, and assist in positioning the firm to better respond to changing regulatory environments and internal demand requests.  As part of FIRS, the Internal Reporting Production Operations Center of Excellence is focused on providing environmental readiness (fit-for-use), data quality and enrichment, and enhanced reporting and analysis across critical corporate internal reporting platforms.
 
Role Description:
 
The Internal Reporting Production Operations Associate will be responsible for providing best-in-class operational support and analysis for internal reporting solutions. The Associate will learn about the solutions in order to build and maintain effective working partnerships in coordination with the North America based team members to provide seamless execution and delivery of operational processes to key stakeholders. The successful candidate will take ownership of operational processes, execute and deliver day-to-day tasks, coordinate with global team members, and provide deliverables within established Service Level Agreements.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Data Analysis & Integrity:  Understand workflow, data flow, financial reporting concepts/consumption/calculations/aggregations, application design and data drill-through/analysis in order to troubleshoot issues and ensure that book of record for financial plan/forecast is complete and accurate.
  • Run Book Management: Execution on the monthly run book which includes all steps taken to ensure environment readiness and  fit-for-use financial information on behalf of consumers as per agreed upon timeline.  
  • Relationship Management: Ongoing communication and relationship building with stakeholders (Firmwide Planning & Analysis/Capital Planning & Analysis/Liquidity Balance Sheet Analytics, Firmwide Forecasting Framework), financial data providers, application development, technology production support and global operations teams.
  • Project Support: Participation in PLC, supporting business requirement gathering, proof of concept, design specification, operating model considerations, testing and implementation activities.
  • Data Sourcing:  Interaction with data provider surrounding SLA enforcement, issue resolution, error research, data reconciliation, etc.
  • Issue Monitoring, Tracking and Resolution: Ownership and oversight of client or process incident tracking on a daily basis including driving enforcement of governance, production of metrics to enable management of application performance delivery.  The individual in this role will monitor issue metrics and prepare root cause analysis to identify and implement steps to reduce inquiry/issue occurrence and manage the monthly reconciliation process between controlling systems. This process includes identifying, explaining, and assessing key performance metrics as well as data quality issues.   
  • Process Improvement: Identify, analyze, and lead process improvements on a continual basis.
Education:
  • CA/CPA/CFA/MBA Finance/Accounting/Management Information Systems from a premier institute with minimum 8 plus  years of experience,
  • Graduate in Commerce/Finance with minimum 10 plus years of relevant experience
Experience:
  • Candidate must have experience working with a global team for approx. 5 plus years
  • Experience in accounting and financial analysis will be an advantage
  • Technical proficiencies (Essbase, query, SQL, databases, UNIX, Oracle) are an advantage.
Skill Sets:
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives with tight timelines while keeping key senior stakeholders and technology and operations partners appropriately updated
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff
  • Superior qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast moving environment
  • Ability to quickly learn and assimilate business knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Product Suite, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint
  • Candidate should be flexible with shift timings
