The Corporate Client Banking & Specialized Industries (CCBSI) group is part of Commercial Banking at JPMorgan Chase and focuses on U.S. and Canadian companies, typically with revenues of over $500mm, which require traditional banking services in addition to investment banking products. The CCBSI Financial Analysis Associate will support all regional and industry groups within CCBSI, with emphasis on the Corporates. The Corporates covers 4 regions: Midwest, Northeast, South & West and 4 Industries: Technology, Energy, Entertainment & Real Estate clients.
The CCBSI Financial Analysis Associate reports to the Corporates Finance Lead and will be expected to work closely with the CCBSI finance team, as well as group heads, bankers, credit execs, and the business management team.
Key Responsibilities
This position will provide finance support and analysis; Sample duties include client profitability analysis, month-end management reporting, and preparation of presentations for senior management. In addition, this individual will partner with Controllers and CCBSI PR&A team to ensure accuracy of management reporting and compliance with policies and controls.
  • Assist with development of annual budget and monthly reforecast
  • Perform monthly expense/revenue variance analysis; identify outliers and take appropriate action on errors
  • Highly integrated with the business management team on project related initiatives, resource forecasting, and pipeline
  • Work closely with India team to ensure timely and accurate execution of monthly Executive Management Reporting (EMR); continue to build and enhance process
  • Ad hoc projects and assignment
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of management
  • A keen business acumen and an ability to tell a compelling story from data
  • Strong judgment, professional maturity, personal integrity, strong work ethic, has the courage to ask the tough questions and challenge the status quo
  • Proactive, results oriented, fact based, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to partner across the organization to drive improvements and change
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics
  • 3+ years of relevant Finance experience (required)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (required), and Hyperion Essbase (desired)
