Seeking HR Business Partner to join JP Morgan’s Global People Support organization!
 
The Global People Support (GPS) HR Business Partner will partner with the Senior HRBP to drive the people agenda and priorities for the business.  
 
You will execute against all people practices for your assigned client group(s) including talent management (succession planning, mobility, high potential and leadership development), performance management, compensation, diversity, and employee engagement and retention.

 Key responsibilities: 

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders by staying abreast of business and workplace trends.
  • Identify the current and future needs of the business, lead HR strategies, priorities, plans and interventions to ensure successful results.
  • Contribute to the development of and support the execution of people strategy and goals for the broader organization by working closely with Senior HRBP, HR colleagues and management team.
  • Collaborate with global HR partners to ensure local execution of business initiatives.
  • Advise managers and employees on general queries relating to HR policies, procedures and benefits.
  • Act as an escalation point for the HR Solutions Team and provide support to Senior HR Business Partners where required.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Recruitment – Partner with Recruiting on workforce planning and headcount management, proactive recruitment strategies and diverse sourcing pipelines. Coach managers on unconscious bias and how to attract and retain diverse talent effectively.
  • Risk and Controls – Ensure appropriate controls are in place and managed effectively for all critical HR processes. Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and ensure that managers and clients are appropriately informed.
  • Reporting and Data Analysis – Analyse key people metrics and data in order to identify workforce trends. Present this analysis to leaders of the business and make recommendations for continuous improvement. Using metrics from the employee opinion survey work with managers to develop tangible objectives and goals.
  • Compensation – Partner with the Compensation Teams to deploy remuneration strategies/plans to attract and reward employees based on business and employee performance. Assist managers during the year end compensation process providing both guidance and analysis.  Give direction and support to managers by helping them navigate and understand the relevant compensation associated regulatory requirements.
  • Performance Evaluation and Talent Management – Collaborate with the Learning and Development organization to support the development and growth our employees.  Identify key talent in the firm and facilitate managers during the year end evaluation process. Identify development opportunities for managers creating strong future leaders for our businesses.
  • Domestic and International Relocations – Work with managers to identify mobility opportunities for talent across the organization.  Leverage the expatriate policies to fill critical global roles and discuss appropriate and consistent relocation provisions with managers.
  • Core Projects – Drive and lead key projects and assignments that would be leveraged across broader HR team. Monitor and drive completion rates of key initiatives where employee and manager input are required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) preferred
  • Ability to demonstrate strong consulting, influencing and negotiation skills on all HR disciplines including recruitment, talent, leadership development, performance management, organization design, compensation and diversity
  • Analytical, quantitative and technical skills used to leverage data to create HR strategies that support and drive business results
  • Success working collaboratively and developing strong, positive working relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Excellent judgment and demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and be creative in developing alternative solutions in a fast paced environment
  • Strong time management; ability to prioritize; ability to handle confidential/ sensitive information on a frequent basis
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to synthesize information and present in written and verbal format
  • Excellent PC skills with hands-on experience in Excel, Word, Outlook, and knowledge of PowerPoint & SharePoint
  • 3 or more years of HR experience (HR Financial Services preferred), or equivalent e.g. HR Generalist, recruitment, L&D, compensation etc.
