This role is within the Corporate Technology which is focused on building applications which support the daily needs of risk managers and financial professionals.     The Corporate Technology (CT) organization develops applications and provides technology support for corporate functions across JPMorgan Chase, including Global Finance,   Corporate Treasury, Risk Management, Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, and all functions within the Corporate Administrative Office (CAO).

CT teams are aligned with corporate partners’ evolving technology needs and the firm’s ever expanding technology controls agenda.    A top CT priority is building scalable corporate systems.

 

This role is for an “ETL Developer” who will work with technology team to build and maintain the existing MIS application and eventually work in the team towards strategic implication for MIS2.0.  This role will require hands-on development and enhancements to the MIS application using ETL (Ab Initio & Oracle) to maintain and expand these flows in support of our global finance business agenda and priorities.  

 

In this role you will have dual accountability to both business and technology management for end-to-end application scoping, planning, development, implementation and post-implementation maintenance and support.

Qualifications
 
Technical Skills
 
  • At least 5 years of experience with ETL tool Ab Initio
  • Experience in end to end release of highly reliable applications including design, development and automated testing
  • Hands-on experience in writing highly effective and performant database SQL queries with knowledge on OLAP DB model
  • Proven ability to successfully manage relationships between multiple clients and prioritizing their needs while maintaining the overall health of the systems
  • Demonstrated expertise overseeing implementations and Release Management, including the final production acceptance review and signoff
  • Proven ability in managing the issue resolution process
  • Focus on long term quality of the software - understanding extensibility and maintenance aspects
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies  
 
Soft Skills
  • Strong analytic skills with ability to spot patterns, synergies and opportunities
  • Functional knowledge and experience in Finance domain
  • Highly motivated and interested in following up on detailed business or technical issues and understanding the functional and technical impact of any change
  • Strong work ethic and dedication
  • An aptitude and interest in both technology and business
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
  • Willingness to take initiative and work independently
  
 Education and Experience-
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Master's degree in Finance, Computer Science, or Information Technology is a plus.
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience and large-scale program management experience
