The Market Adapter platform is an application integration layer aimed at allowing automation of trade processing across a wide range of products and locations. Our strategy is focused on integrating global applications to local/legacy applications and external market platforms for automating back-office functions such as payment, settlement and clearing registration. The team has been involved in a number of initiatives for LATAM, and is now expanding to other regions.
We are seeking a Java Developer to work on components/services implementation and maintenance across the platform. This individual will be part of a dynamic, multi-cultural team of highly talented individuals and will have the opportunity to contribute ideas to evolve the platform and help build the next generation of global solutions for JPMC.
This person will be part of a Scrum team providing technical solutions for platform-wide projects and requirements.
The role requires strong technical skills not only for coding but also testing & deployment preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Part of Core development team
  • Build and maintain components/services
  • Design solutions including class diagrams, object modeling, data modeling and system interfaces
  • 5+ years of Java development experience with Spring framework
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related area
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Architecture skills – Design Patterns, SOA, Enterprise Integration Patterns, Enterprise Service Bus
  • Environments – Linux, Tomcat, Apache
  • Databases – Oracle/Sybase, O/R mapping frameworks (Hibernate, MyBatis)
  • Tools – Eclipse, Maven, Git
  • Agile development – Kanban, Scrum, Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration
  • Strong written & verbal communication
  • Ability to multi-task, comfortable with change, ability to operate in an intense environment
  • Ability to work to deadlines, results-oriented, flexible, adaptable
Additional skills will be considered a plus:
  • Previous experience on the financial industry
  • Knowledge in financial products: Fixed Income, Equity Securities, Derivatives, FX
  • Experience with Pentaho ETL tool
  • Experience with cloud services/frameworks
  • Portuguese language skills
