The Technology Resiliency Management team is responsible for ensuring that CIB demonstrates, and improves, the resiliency of its applications. Our team interacts with our partners in Application Development, Corporate and Global Infrastructure teams. The CIB business relies heavily on having stable and resilient applications to be able to provide clients and governments with a first class service, all the time.
Our team understands regulatory requirements, drives company policy and engages with support teams to ensure that the 1000+ applications design, build, test and, in an incident, execute recovery plans efficiently and effectively.

You will be part of the CIB Critical Business Services program team. This program aims to roll out an ‘end to end’ method of managing CIB’s critical transaction flows which are systemically important to the firm, our clients and regulators, and to the global financial system. 
You will be running a team that is focused on the global rollout of the program across CIB, and support of new Flow Owners who will be put in place to manage each critical business service:
  • Managing a small team of analysts dedicated to Critical Business services program and support of the new Flow owners
  • Analysis of all aspects of stability and resiliency for applications in the critical business services.
  • Developing monthly reports on stability and resiliency of the critical business services.
  • Organising and leading table top simulation exercises & incident drills to ensure that the technology community can act quickly if there is a problem.
  • Designing, organising and leading training courses designed to spread knowledge of the critical business services across the technology and operations community.
  • Working with the Chief Development office to build out a toolset for Flow Owners.
  • Provide thought leadership for the Critical Business Services program, consistently review processes for effectiveness, identifying areas for improvements.
  • Provide communication materials designed for technical audiences.
  • Provide and deliver MD level summaries and status reports to a defined schedule.
  • Be comfortable partnering with technologists across the firm, including GTI, Corporate Technology and CIB.
Who are we hiring?
We are looking for an ambitious technologist to help drive the adoption of this important process. Ideally you will have:
  • You will have proven team leading skills in a technical environment
  • You will have had extensive technical experience either in an infrastructure, production management or software development role.
  • You will understand all aspects of technology stability and resiliency and have personal hands-on experience of improving an applications stability. 
  • You will be a good technical analyst, able to quickly understand the business served by a critical business service and the details of the technology that supports it. 
  • You will be creative and an excellent problem solver.
  • You will be experienced in using Excel, ideally developing macros.
  • You will be a good communicator, be confident in providing management summaries and understand the importance of accuracy.
  • Experience of application development and use of programming languages would be an advantage.
