Job Description

Vice President level position leading the Alternatives (Real Estate, Infrastructure, Maritime & Transportation, Absolute Return and JPS primarily) world in Asset Mgmt. finance.


The finance professional is responsible for partnering with the business on strategic direction and decision making as well as delivering value added financial reporting/planning/forecasting and analysis.  The key objectives for this team in 2018 is to deepen its analysis for the business, drive the business from a profitability perspective, and enhance controls and efficiencies.


The role consists of ownership and leadership of the execution of various projects listed below.  This person will get a broad exposure to the business drivers of JP Morgan Asset Management.  They will also be expected to interact not just with the various finance functions (Management, P&A, Profitability, Revenue, Expense, etc.), but also with the members of the Real Estate, Infrastructure, Maritime, Absolute Return and JPS business management and senior management teams.


Key functions of the role include:

  • Provide analysis and advice to senior investment, finance and control partners relating to financial and business matters
  • Manage team members on all work including reporting, analysis, recommendations and presentations
  • Provide analysis and recommendations on M&A activities and other special initiatives
  • Presentation, validation, and analysis of monthly/quarterly business results
  • Profitability Analysis
  • Communication with Real Estate/Infrastructure/Maritime & Transportation/AR/JPS team members to communicate financial results while advising &  influencing
  • Data Integrity of business opportunities and business at risk
  • Deliver sound economic financial plan and forecast
  • Flows validation/pipeline analysis with sales support team
  • Expense Management
  • Headcount Tracking and forecasting
