Implementation Managers are responsible for the project management of new client business to the Investor Services organization. The role covers a diverse client base that includes Asset Managers, Pension Funds, Banks, and Insurance Companies.  Implementation activity encompasses all Investor Services products including - but not limited to - Custody, Fund Accounting and Fund Administration, Hedge Funds Servicing, Transfer Agency, Investment Performance and Analytics, Compliance, Private Equity and Real Estate Services and Securities Lending. Implementations range from single product implementations to large, complex on-boardings involving several products, multiple entities, and a range of constituents.
Position Responsibilities
Implementation
  • Drive client requirements gathering process and propose and influence target solutions for the client
  • Ensure client requirements are understood and work with internal partners to design, document, and ensure appropriate sign off on solutions.
  • Own and drive project activities including, but not limited to:
    • Develop and manage project delivery plans
    • Facilitate negotiating of client legal agreements
    • Execute plans with robust governance and reporting
    • Actively mitigate and manage project risk by coordinating timely resolution of issues
    • Scope containment and change management
    • Manage and motivate virtual working teams across multiple locations and disciplines
    • Lead project communication to all internal and external parties
    • Execute post implementation and production satisfaction reviews to continually improve practices
  • Complete all of the above while delivering high levels of internal and external client satisfaction
     
    Related Responsibilities
  • Actively contribute to strategy for delivering excellent client implementation service
  • Proactively drive internal team and business-wide initiatives
  • Work with Sales and RFP teams in pre-win phase to ensure that the implementation process is effectively represented to prospective clients
  • Actively represent and champion the Implementation team in the Sales cycle; participate in pitches and lead Implementation dialogue with internal partners and clients across all product disciplines
  • Actively represent Implementation team at a range of senior forums
     
    Knowledge
  • Working product or operational knowledge of more than one core Securities Servicing Products - Custody, Fund Accounting & Administration, Securities Lending, Alternative Investments Services, Collateral Management, Derivatives Services, etc.
    Skills
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Highly structured and methodical in execution.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate with, and influence a range of audiences internally and externally
  • Diligence in identifying issues and addressing risks
  • Relationship skills - ability to work effectively and build a broad network among a wide range of functions in the organization; earn a reputation for integrity, intelligence and problem solving
  • Experience in functioning effectively in a changing environment
