Global Strategy & Core Services (GSCS) is focused on developing and delivering services that integrate software solutions with infrastructure in innovative, cost effective and efficient ways. The GSCS team provides services for use by business-aligned application delivery organizations, across all layers of the software stack, which may include application interface services, productivity and collaboration tools, and data integration solutions. The Developer Services is part of GTI’s Global Strategy and Core Services. It provides tools and managed services for developers within JPMC that cover the entire SDLC.
As an Infrastructure Engineer you will be required to document, support, and debug an API Management service using vendor supplied software. You will provide L3 support and provide comprehensive consultation at the highest technical level. You will work closely with the product owner to design, automate, test and implement services and procedures. Additionally, you will research and evaluate alternative solutions, enhancements, and make recommendations.
The ideal candidate will have deep technical experience and hands-on knowledge of software engineering best practices and tooling. As a change agent for a large-scale transformation, the candidate must have strong verbal and written communications skills, charismatic approach to influence management, and the ability to provide leadership to developer teams based on personal experience.
This key role is to partner closely with Application owners in an agile environment to provide the platform to digitally enable global scale-able enterprise applications.
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Providing strategy infrastructure engineering and level 3 and level 4 operational support for the Global Technology Infrastructure organization Application Programming Interface Management solution.
- Partner with strategic technology vendors to improve the service solution.
- Create, review, and ensure compliance with API standards.
- Coordinate and implement regular software upgrades to keep the platform stable and secure.
- Review and analyzing logs and system data to constantly improve the performance, reduce outages, and conduct capacity and performance testing and provide recommendations to minimize outages causing business impact
