As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You’ll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You’ll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what’s being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you’ll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.
You will participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution. You will participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input to information/data flow, and understand and comply to Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps. You will also adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications. Additionally, you will document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop/Enhance software application modules. You will participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications; identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues; and review and provide feedback to the final user documentation.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages
Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement
Minimum 5 years of professional information technology experience in large enterprise environment
Minimum 3 years of Application Development experience in the C#/.Net domain
Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, MVC, MS SQL Server, Windows Servers, and Web application designs
Solid object oriented design, coding, testing, and debugging skills
Familiarity with IT control processes around risk and compliance
Proven experience in incident/problem management with a good understanding of any of the tools used for this purpose
Solid technical skills including knowledge of web hosting, client server technology, networking basics, database technology, end to end understanding of 3-tier application architecture (frontend – application server – database)
Comfortable providing clear problem descriptions and guidance to business users in a time critical environment
Ability to work independently as a self-starter, and within a team environment
Must be comfortable and eager to perform tasks in all phases of the software lifecycle (e.g., requirements analysis, design/development, test, support)
Knowledge and experience working in an DevOps and Agile environment
Knowledge of cloud based development
Knowledge of Software Delivery Automation and tools like JIRA, ERWIN, BitBucket, Jules, Nautilus, PASTA, Selenium, Cucumber etc.
Experience in scrum activities such as Backlog Planning, Sprint Planning, Story grooming etc
Experience documenting any issues and setting up test scenarios
Experience in analyzing business and document its business or processes or systems, assessing the business model or its integration with technology.
Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures
