The Vendor Management Office (VMO) in Global Real Estate (GRE) is responsible for managing complex Global Real Estate Outsourcing contracts, Third Party Oversight compliance and more than 1,200 direct supplier relationships. This team is responsible for providing necessary information and consultation to Senior Business Leaders, as well as functional and regional partners to support the management of their supplier population and enable data-based decision making.
The newly created role of Third Party Oversight (TPO) Team Member will be based in Houston, Texas, and will form a critical component of the broader VMO team. This role will be responsible for working in a team environment to ensure adherence to the Corporate TPO program.  The ideal candidate will effectively manage all compliance requirements regarding contract administration, ensure firm systems are updated appropriately with vendor information and ensure governance standards are adhered to and administered in the most effective and efficient way to support our internal clients.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Manage, monitor and track a portfolio of third party supplier's compliance to the Third Party Oversight program
  • Disposition Standard Process vs. Alternate Process engagements (e.g., Specialized Service Categories, etc.)
  • Coordinate and monitor all new engagements through the TPO 3-Phase lifecycle. 
  • Ensure all due diligence is completed and documented according to the firm wide policy and procedures
  • Assist vendor relationship managers to ensure all documents supporting existing Third Parties are completed
  • Issue metrics reports to monitor compliance with the TPO program and present key risk metrics to LOB’s
  • Assist in managing delivery dates for all remediation plans, non-compliance acceptances, TPR reviews and Corporate TPO deliverables
  • Update the appropriate systems, develop and issue reports, follow up with Delivery Managers and maintain required documentation
  • Assist in training Delivery and Senior Managers (Executive Sponsors) on the TPO procedures and systems
  • Develop portfolio management strategy, by assessing inventory for efficiency and reduction opportunities across the LOBs
  • Responsible for monitoring through various reports, tools, and system research for all engagements/services associated with the third party supplier
  • Assist in training TPMO Risk Analyst on the TPO procedures and systems


  • 2-4 years relevant work experience in Finance, Sourcing, TPO, Risk, Oversight & Control, Vendor Management, or related roles, with total work experience of 5+ years
  • Outstanding listening and negotiation skills as well as being a strong written and verbal communicator at the senior management level
  • Strong personnel and organizational management skills, including expertise in issue and conflict resolution
  • Excellent business judgment, particularly the ability to proactively monitor the program to identify and address issues early, performing root cause analysis to develop long term solutions
  • Strong business analysis skills to enable efficient, accurate and objective decision making
  • Ability to partner closely with related functions (Sourcing, Legal & Compliance, Audit, etc.) to ensure a coordinated and effective program
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and research skills
  • Proficient in MS office suite applications- Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Visio
  • Compliance background preferred, but not required
