Overview of Role:

 

Under the local direction of a senior team member, the CWM Lending Product Specialist (LPS) Associate serves as a regionally aligned point of contact for any lending queries from Private Client Advisors and Assistants.  As part of Wealth Management Lending Solutions, this role helps support and develops the lending products platform for Chase Wealth Management with a focus on building solutions for our Chase Private Client business. 

 

The successful candidate is expected to develop a deep understanding of products across our platform including, securities based lending, Mortgage lending, fixed income, equities, managed/discretionary accounts business, and the brokerage business.  


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the point of contact for the Lending Product Specialist through support of the Advisors and Market Directors on the SBL product

  • Coordinates with and provides support to the CPC Service Team

  • Submits SBL requests on behalf of the Lending Product Specialist and provides status updates to the market as requested

  • Reviews loan documents and sends to advisors for client signatures; provides support to Advisors or Clients with questions

  • Gain knowledge on the CWM Lending Products through interaction with the Lending Product Specialists and various SBL support teams.

  • Assists LPS to increase use of Securities-Based Lending by helping to prepare training materials, assisting with logistics of the training and the post-training follow-up required.

  • Distribute opportunity reports to Advisors in the LPS’ market answering any questions that may arise

  • Recommends decisions based on specific credit policy and guidelines

  • Ability to work independently

  • Communicates information in a timely and complete manner in order to meet team goals

  • Provides constructive feedback to the LPS and to the entire CWM SBL Team

  • Back up support to other team members as needed

  • Frequent collaboration with the Underwriting, Monitoring, Risk, Loan Services and Wholesale Loan Operations internal partners is required to resolve production, quality and escalated client service or risk related issues.  Remove hurdles to a great client experience while mitigating risk in the region. 

  • Demonstrates decisiveness by making thoughtful and timely decisions in high volume and ambiguous situations to achieve best outcomes for the client and the firm

  • Advises, consults and partners with the Market

  • Ability to manage and maintain productivity during peak periods, high volumes, & stressful situations

  • Participates in projects related to productivity improvements, compliance, and other matters as needed

  • Back up support to other team members as needed

  • 4-5 years of financial services experience, preferably in lending product experience or in a banking analyst program
  • Strong partnership and people skills ; work with people across all levels of the organization (analyst to MD)
  • Exceptional analytical, written, and presentation skills, must be articulate
  • Organizational and project management skill; proven ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Must be able to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability and ability to work under pressure
  • Creative and can think "out of the box"
