As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You’ll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what’s being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you’ll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.
The Oversight & Controls technology team of the JPMorgan Private Bank is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to contribute towards implementation of applications in GWM for Compliance Monitoring & Supervision Oversight, the candidate will perform various functions including development, integration, management & analysis as part of this multi-year agenda to develop numerous control functions to address the monitoring needs of the Supervisory Management & Compliance teams.
  • Must have experience with design and development of large-scale distributed applications in a mission-critical production environment
  • Partner heavily with technology stakeholders dispersed globally including business analysts, release management, infrastructure, and other developers, at all levels
  • Analyze and develop deep expertise of Post-trade monitoring tools like Actimize, GWM trading systems and Strategic Data Stores, and be able to represent the application on PBA, IPB Tech forums
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses of large and complex data
  • Experience in Actimize (or similar toolsets) – Risk Case Manager(ERCM) 5.x/RCM designer, Coding and configuring in Actimize analytics intelligence server(AIS) 4.x
  • Assist in debugging and troubleshooting for any issues that may arise
  • Be able to lead a project independently using a global team of developers if needed
  • Support production rollouts of the functionality on-site by partnering closely with the Operate team
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline
  • Must have experience working within a development role
  • Experience with ETL tools like Informatica is preferred
  • Must have excellent analytical, management, technical, and oral communication skills
  • Must have strong database skills and fundamental understanding of data models and experience with relational databases
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with colleagues at various levels of the organization
  • Self-motivated team player. Must possess the ability to research and resolve issues independently while working across teams to acquire needed information
  • Ability to organize/manage multiple priorities and projects coupled with the flexibility to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Java/J2EE Application & UI frameworks (Spring Boot, Web/Rest Services, HTML 5, and JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS, ReactJS) preferred.
  • Experience with Big Data technologies, Apache Spark, Shell Scripting and GIT is a plus
  • Experience in Autosys scheduling & development and build tools is a plus
