As a Business Analyst within Chase Card Services Technology, you will serve as liaison between IT and business end-users. Work with the business to analyze business requirements and review/produce specifications for any new/change to technology applications. Work with the Technical Analyst and development team to ensure that they understand the specifications. Work with training team to document system scenarios and identify roles impacted and helps develop a change management/training plan. Conduct business process modeling and generate applicable scenarios for the technology functionality testing team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • You will be responsible to evaluate incoming projects and/or business requests and document high level changes required for each impacted application/application area in order to implement a technology solution
  • Conduct research to determine if solutions to business requirements currently exist, and if not, whether new solutions are feasible.
  • Analyze impacts of proposed solution across the business, develop use cases or stories to explain/demonstrate business requirements/specifications to IT team, and contribute a business or process perspective during design reviews.
  • Assist in the Quality Assurance process to ensure that requirements documentation can be easily translated into test plans, and ensure that the proper testing plans have been completed.
  • Transfer knowledge of the proposed solution to software engineering teams



Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years application design and systems analysis experience
  • Minimum 5+ years work experience in Information Technology
  • Minimum 5+ years of work in a financial services or comparable industry
  • Hands on experience with business modeling concepts, business systems development and analysis, application design and architecture


Preferred Skills :


  • Awareness of the business and IT strategy
  • Basic understanding of the company's business practices and familiarity with the company's products and services
  • Self starter and independent thinker with excellent analytical, problem-solving, leadership, networking, collaborative, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Proven ability to lead discussions, facilitate cross-functional design sessions, and clearly present ideas, concepts and solutions to business and IT stakeholders
  • Proven ability to build a personal network of contacts and resources to get the job done
  • Proven ability to learn subject matter quickly and experience serving as a subject matter expert for a supported application or function.
  • Experience writing use cases, epics, user stories, creating application or functional flows, and/or  documenting application functionality
  • Credit Card domain experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, document, and communicate cross-functional, high level IT solutions spanning multiple application or functional areas
  • Experience working in an Agile IT environment
