Position Summary
The US Payables Digital Product Executive is a newly created role with responsibility for the business innovation of the US Electronic Payables Business (ACH and Corporate Quick Pay, & Canada). This individual will also work closely with the US segment leads (Large Corporate, Commercial Bank, Public Sector and FI) to ensure delivery of segment related product capabilities.  The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the strategic roadmap that will elevate our US Payables capabilities across all major client segments.
 
Key Responsibilities
As US Digital Payables Product Executive:
  • P&L Management
    • Take ownership of financial results, including revenue, expense and margin items
    • Execute strategies to ensure financial results are achieved or exceeded
    • Partner with business units providing support to ensure all expense items are appropriate and strategies implemented to optimize overall business results
  • Leading the development and execution of the US payables strategy for all client segments.  Develop and implement a robust business plan for achieving objectives in collaboration with key partners to drive profit growth, market share expansion, and other key metrics.
  • New product/market/segment development and launches, customer experience, marketing strategy
  • Defining, developing, and executing solutions for client segments; bringing those solutions successfully to market; maximizing client and bank success across the product suite.
  • Establish investment priorities for business and monitor ongoing progress.
  • Instilling a strong risk/reward metric and culture into the business in collaboration with key partners throughout the bank. 
  • Drive Revenue Growth
    • Develop strategy for growth of revenues via client targeting, market trends and product development
    • Partner with Sales colleagues to maximize return on efforts to drive new business
    • Lead client discussions on capabilities and develop relationships with existing top clients while cultivating those with top prospects and target names
    • Lead develop of client messaging and oversee marketing plans and execution for business
       
  • Risk/Regulatory Management
    • Manage activities related to Compliance/regulatory requirements.
    • Engage with regulators, as needed, to discuss state of business and address any regulatory inquiries
    • Partner with Compliance, Risk and Legal teams to ensure appropriate mitigation of all risks occurs
    • Serve as Product lead for internal audit and regulatory exams. 
    • Ensure all products are developed within JPM Risk guidelines.
  • People management
    • Directly manage business function
    • Ability to manage remotely including staff in multiple locations
    • Ability to develop talent within team to ensure potential is realized
    • Ability to attract talent to ensure best in market team
       
      Skills & Experience
  • Typically requires 10+ years with extensive experience with deep knowledge and understanding of all business disciplines (sales, marketing, product, finance, operations, etc.)
  • Subject matter expertise in Payables, experience with product management, sales, operations, customer service, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of the large corporate and commercial banking client base
  • Strong global perspective and global executive skills with extensive experience working with clients and business partners located outside the United States.
  • Industry expert, ideally published, frequently quoted industry-recognized leader
  • Solid risk management understanding, ideally with direct risk-management experience
  • Significant experience managing a large scale and complex business across multiple global locations
  • Must be a dynamic leader, should possess a mentor-coach management style and have proven experience developing and motivating a team of executives
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to establish and communicate the strategic vision
  • Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with key internal partners to achieve objectives.  Key partners include sales, technology, service, operations, risk management, GCB, Commercial Bank and Investment Bank.
  • Ability to maintain close working relationship with sales, customer service and product delivery managers to ensure customer satisfaction and product profitability
  • Ability to think outside of the box with the vision, energy and practical execution skills to define the business strategy and deliver accordingly 
  • Change agent with the ability to swiftly and effectively execute
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives/projects/work streams simultaneously
  • Laser focus in understanding and articulating customer needs and turning needs into business cases
  • Ability to develop product strategy and go-to-market programs to support solution launches, defining and developing new solutions offerings
  • Demonstrated strong industry leadership in client experience, product expertise, development of appropriate solutions/bundles, and ability to identify and take advantage of trends and opportunities
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment
  • Graduate degree (or similar experience) preferred
