JPMorgan Chase’s Global Philanthropy division is seeking a Program Associate for Workforce and Small Business Development. The Program Associate will focus on issues related to employment and job training, post-secondary education and credentials, and inclusive small business growth. The successful candidate will have experience in education, workforce development, small business expansion programs, economic development or other urban policy issues.
The Program Associate provides programmatic and administrative support to develop and implement the firm’s philanthropic strategies. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Activities and events: Lead planning and implementation:
Support the work of the workforce team by coordinating major events, announcements, release of research and other activities related to the initiatives
Create and manage project plans and timelines; and facilitate/staff meetings
Coordinate with partners and employees across the firm
Conduct research, draft summaries, and create charts/visuals/decks
Shepherd projects through internal compliance, communications, and legal processes
Partnerships and grants: Coordinate partnership activities:
Respond to inquiries from organizations interested in collaboration or support
Organize partnership activities in collaboration with colleagues across cities
Coordinate grants administration by tracking grant status and reporting, collecting required documents, tracking correspondence, processing awards, etc.
Systems: Manage file, data and reporting systems including:
Provide support for creating and maintaining multiple databases including external partners and key organizations; internal stakeholders and advisory board members
Create and manage systems for maintaining shared drives and files (e.g., photos, video)
Assist with documenting impact by conducting interviews and surveys, and reviewing reports
Produce reports to help the team assess the impact of its work and promote continuous learning
Assist with financial management by processing and tracking expenses
