JPMorgan Chase’s Global Philanthropy division is seeking a Program Associate for Workforce Development. The Program Associate will focus on youth employment, including The Fellowship Initiative, JPMorgan Chase’s college and career readiness program for young men of color. The successful candidate will have experience in youth development, education, workforce development, or other urban policy issues.

Responsibilities
The Program Associate for Youth Employment will provide programmatic and administrative support to develop and implement the firm’s philanthropic strategies. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 Activities and events: Lead planning and implementation:
 Support the workforce team by coordinating major events, announcements, release of research and other activities related to the initiatives
 Create and manage project plans and timelines; and facilitate/staff meetings
 Coordinate with partners and employees across the firm
 Conduct research, draft summaries, and create charts/visuals/decks
 Shepherd projects through internal compliance, communications, and legal processes
 Assist with mentor and volunteer coordination (e.g., respond to inquiries, track requests)

 Partnerships and grants: Coordinate partnership activities:
 Respond to inquiries from organizations interested in collaboration or support
 Organize partnership activities in collaboration with colleagues across cities
 Coordinate grants administration by tracking grant status and reporting, collecting required documents, tracking correspondence, processing awards, etc.

 Systems: Manage file, data and reporting systems including:
 Provide support for creating and maintaining multiple databases including external partners and key organizations; internal volunteers, stakeholders and advisory board members and mentors; and TFI Fellows and families
 Create and manage systems for maintaining shared drives and files (e.g., photos, video)
 Assist with documenting impact by conducting interviews and surveys, and reviewing reports
 Produce reports to help the team assess the impact of its work and promote continuous learning

 Bachelor’s degree required
 At least 7 years of experience working in a fast-paced environment
 Excellent judgment, organizational skills, and independent decision-making ability
 Strong written and oral communications skills
 Ability to plan, manage and follow through on projects independently
 Results-oriented, with exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills
 Creative, flexible, and collaborative, with an ability to work in a team-oriented environment
 Mastery of core Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
 Background in education, youth development, workforce development or related issues
 Experience working in philanthropy, government, nonprofit or policy organizations or in programs for vulnerable youth populations and young men of color is a plus
