Supervisory Regulatory Strategy (SRS) was established in 2013 to develop and drive an effective and consistent regulatory engagement model across the firm.  SRS does this by coordinating across Lines of Business (LOBs), Functions and Regions to guide progress on the regulatory agenda including adherence to protocols for supervisory regulatory interaction, exam management and issue remediation, consolidated reporting and management of various deliverables to regulators.  The Head of Supervisory Regulatory Strategy reports to the JPMC Chief Control Officer with accountability to the Chief Compliance Officer and others. 
SRS is seeking to add an Associate to its core team to assist the department with a variety of regulatory deliverables.  This dynamic position provides opportunities for working across the firm, including but not limited to working with LOBs/Functions, Oversight & Control, Compliance, Risk, Technology, Finance and Audit.  Candidate will develop expertise on the firm’s regulatory agenda as well as a big picture understanding of how governance is rolled out and managed at a firmwide level.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor on regulatory management protocols and supervisory correspondence to and from the firm’s domestic and foreign regulators
  • Read Supervisory Letters from regulators and work with all LOBs/Functions on accurate/timely regulatory issue input into FORCE (the firm’s system of record for tracking regulatory issues)
  • Write/coordinate senior management / Board briefing packages
  • Write/coordinate with a wide variety of internal reporting on regulatory engagement (Identify trends/themes and significant matters for highlighting/escalation)
  • Assist with maintenance of various trackers regarding the team’s end-to-end work flow
  • Identify and articulate control risks and work with the department to optimize end-to-end processes
  • Assist with other team deliverables
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong writing ability a must
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel (analyzing data) and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability and comfort working with senior management
  • Proven ability to coordinate across LOBs/Functions and geographies
  • Able to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • Proactive, can-do approach
  • Able to work independently and operate in a matrix environment
  • Accountable with a strong sense of urgency and work ethic
