Morgan Wealth Management provides integrated wealth management services for ultra high net worth and high net worth families and individuals worldwide, overseeing more than $1 trillion of client balances across credit, deposit, investment management, capital market and trust products.


Associate - Credit Cost & Attestation will be a key member of the Credit CFO team providing end to end ownership for credit costs, credit attestations as well as expense and headcount reporting. Candidate will report into to the Credit CFO, who oversees finance for client businesses with ~$135bn in credit and have end to end ownership of credit costs, credit attestations and banking expense and headcount reporting. This role will provide exposure to the credit risk leadership team, wholesale credit analytics solutions group (WCAS) and AWM regulatory reporting team.


Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Credit Costs for WM Loan Portfolio
    • Partner with Credit Risk and WCAS to finalize monthly credit costs
    • Track, monitor and report on credit costs for loans and mortgages
    • Prepare and articulate monthly outlook, annual and multi-year plan for credit costs
    • Lead IFRS 9 and CECL rollout for WM loan portfolio
  • Credit Attestations: Manage quarterly attestation of various SEC and regulatory reports
    • Ensure WM reports accurate credit exposures on firm-wide regulatory reports
    • Coordinate and engage cross-functional teams to understand and apply regulatory reporting requirements to attestations and data submissions
    • Analyze and provide quarterly variance explanations on regulatory schedules
    • Develop and maintain standard well understood and documented process to ensure accurate and timely reporting and attestation
  • Expense and headcount reporting for Credit and Deposits
    • Tracking, monitoring and reporting headcount and expenses
    • Prepare and articulate monthly outlook, annual and multi-year plan for credit cost
  • Partner with other team members to improve key processes and quality control
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis of other tactical and strategic issues

Key Skills:

  • Well organized and detail oriented; the quantity of information and requests requires proven ability to stay organized and structured in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong analytical and financial skills, with ability to synthesize and interpret data
  • Interact and communicate clearly and confidently with key stake holders, all levels of management, including the most senior level of Global Wealth Management
  • Ability to take ownership and work independently as well as on a team.
  • Sense of urgency; this person recognizes the importance of not only completing a task, but with the understanding that many of the tasks/requests are time sensitive
  • Ability to prioritize; given that many of the tasks are time sensitive, ability to prioritize and multi-task is critical
  • Utilize judgment and discretion in working with highly confidential information

Work experience and education:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience, primarily in financial services
  • Experience working in credit
  • Bachelor’s degree required (business or economics-related major preferred, or equivalent work experience in accounting/finance and/or a financial services firm)
  • CPA a plus
