The Production Services Team Lead will manage a team of L2 Production Services professionals and oversee technical support of production applications and infrastructure.  Individual will work in both hands-on support and team management capacity.


Individual will manage all support requests, incidents, issues, tickets and business continuity activities, to ensure flawless and quality delivery of services to end users. This is a critical role requiring a highly dedicated individual to take ownership and provide procedural and technical support to various teams and work in partnership with internal/external stakeholders.

 

In addition to driving resolution of day-to-day issues, major incidents, and outages to resolution, selected individual will work hand-in-hand with application development, infrastructure and implementation teams.

 

The ideal candidate should be detail oriented, have strong verbal and written communication skills, able to multi task and can work independently and is a team performer.  You should also have a proactive approach to identify problems before they happen and implement solutions that detect and prevent outage. 


Individual will be pivotal as we transform to Agile/DevOps model , some of the areas of work will include automation, monitoring (alerting/logging), deployment and continuous integration working closely with our AD/Infrastructure partners.

 

Responsibilities:


Manage day to day issues including daily health checks of applications and processes, working closely with end users, development staff and Infrastructure teams, to prioritize and resolve and/or mitigate outages.

  • Manage L2 Production Services Team
  • Provide support/linkage with Mission Control Teams
  • Monitor production activities/processes to ensure timely and effective reporting, tracking, follow-up and communication of problems to internal and external clients, technical resources, and executives.
  • Ensures information controls, back-up and recovery strategies are in place across all environments.
  • Implement continuous process improvement, including but not limited to policy, procedures, and production monitoring.
  • Help in identifying, coordinating, and implementing initiatives/projects and activities that create efficiencies and optimize technical processing
  • Develop and maintain relationships with technical staff, end users and clients.
  • Carefully evaluate alternative risks and solutions before taking action to provide timely resolution.

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant Information Technology experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading Production Support/Incident and Problem Management issues to resolution.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team of production services professionals
  • Ability to provide 24/7 on-call support and work nights/weekends as needed.
  • Batch scheduling experience is a plus, Zeke, Control-M, AbInitio.
  • Solid technical skills (knowledge of client server technology, networking basics, database technology etc.)
  • Technical knowledge including: JCL, XML, XSD, and Oracle, Server - Wintel, Web logic, WebSphere, Mainframe, UNIX.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to lead/manage large conference calls. Comfortable providing clear problem descriptions and guidance to business users in a time critical environment. 
  • Ability to be proactive with a strong bias for action, naturally inquisitive, and bias for continuous improvement of practices / process.
  • Excellent influence, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Experience in working with cross line of business teams, Outside Service Providers and Partner Organizations.
  • Experience with Incident Management methodologies, systems and tools.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to establish strong relationships with all levels of management.
  • Solid understanding of the major functionality bundled into a release, both from a technology and business point of view.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant applications and development life cycles.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups.
  • Strong desire to learn new technology.
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter, and within a team environment. Comfortable in a fast dynamic environment with an ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Banking and/or financial services industry experiences a plus
