Job Description
 
The primary responsibility of Performance Measurement is to work in conjunction with the offshore teams to produce performance & risk analytics.
Additional responsibilities will include undertaking projects to improve the efficiency in the teams.
The role requires attention to detail, an awareness of the risks involved and an ability to work under pressure and strict adherence to deadlines.
 
Job Responsibility
 
  • Analyze and validate the data. Coordinate with global business partners to correct and amend data issues within the reports/ databases.
  • Checking the Risk & Control areas for the process and constantly updating the same for changes if any
  • Validate performance data at Total level, Asset class and Security level. Coordinate with Middle Office, US and Geneva performance team and with Technology to correct and amend problems within the system.
  • Knowledge on the different Performance methodologies (Dietz, Modified Dietz, True time weighted, etc…)
  • Liaise with third party providers to consolidate index returns and characteristics
  • Manage multiple financial analysis reporting deadlines with ability to analyze reports and a large amount of data. Develop, manage and analyze large databases of information with attention to detail. Ability to interface with various levels of management and operations
  • Manage deliverables while servicing all ad hoc queries and requests.
  • Validating daily work in terms of index updates, total level and asset level checks, structure of account groups, hedge fund reports etc.
  • Driving the team towards process automation and high level synergy between the performance teams on either location
  • Checking the KPI’s and constantly working on providing a robust KPI for the team.
  • Checking the Risk & Control areas for the process and constantly updating & getting signoffs for the same from the onshore locations
  • Undertaking projects to improve efficiency. This would include process improvements and identification of automation opportunities
  • Using domain knowledge and experience to improve the way the team functions, by bringing in new best practices
 
Job requirements
Minimum qualifications
  • Degree Bachelors or equivalent in Commerce, Business Administration OR Finance
  • Degree of MBA/PGDM or equivalent in Commerce, Business Administration OR Finance, IMC / CFA / CIPM would be advantageous
Qualification Criteria
  • Minimum 4-6 years of work experience with exposure to reporting and analytics
  • Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work
  • Highly energetic, self-motivated, team player and hard working
  • Quick learner; proven ability to quickly learn the business, the application, and quickly adapt to ever changing priorities
  • Critical thinking to proactively identify and develop new ideas / innovations / approach that will add values to the business and the team
  • Ability to perform in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks through effective prioritization
  • Ability  to understand and articulate business goals
  • Have an affinity or ability for systems thinking.
  • Have the ability to work independently and to proactively seek guidance from others as needed
  • Strong team player and has the capacity to build good working relationships with cross functional/geographical teams
  • Result oriented, accepting responsibilities and challenges that take them outside their comfort zone
  • Positive outlook and a desire to stretch themselves to achieve both personal and functional success.
Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of banking operations
  • Understanding of troubleshooting client (internal/ external) experience issues and be able to quickly determine sensitivity to business risk
  • Understanding of financial markets (preferable)
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication at all levels
  • Control orientated and Risk awareness
  • Computer Skills:  MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Power Point, MS Access
  • Process/Ops Management Skills and experience
