Duties: Responsible for SAS based development and environment support for an application. Participate in the development, maintenance, enhancements, execution and monitoring of all production processing and the full project life cycle while working with project managers and business analysts to take requirements through design, implementation and delivery. Develop, implement and support code in a SAS, Oracle, Unix environment - SAS EG, PuTTY, TOAD. Develop procedures to fully automate the execution, monitoring and issue reporting for all production processes. Implement procedures to ensure that all user acceptance testing and production code migration comply with established procedures. Participate in application security reviews and address all identified issues. Participate in project planning sessions with business analysts to analyze business requirements and outline proposed system solutions. Participate in design reviews and provide input to design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input to information/data flow, and understand and comply with Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps. Adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications. Document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop/enhance software application modules. Follow, and promote adherence to, the organization's standard project life cycle to ensure delivery of high quality software solutions.Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Statistics, Biotechnology, or related field plus two (2) years of experience in application development, SQL coding, and the system development life cycle, or related experience OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Statistics, Biotechnology, or related field plus five (5) years of experience in application development, SQL coding, and the system development life cycle, or related experience.

Skills required: Experience using SAS enterprise guide to develop statistical models using SAS procedures in quantitative finance. Experience working with credit risk portfolios. Experience working with relational databases including Oracle, Teradata, and DB2. Experience with automation of SAS jobs leveraging the Control M job scheduler. Demonstrated knowledge of performance tuning and optimization in PL/SQL. Experience with Waterfall or Agile. Experience with source code management tools including Subversion or GIT. Experience participating in project planning sessions translating business requirements into workable solutions. Experience developing Unix-based shell scripts to create utilities and triggers of SAS jobs. Experience with Secure FTP to automate file transmissions.
