Duties: Develop software functionality including developing code, performing configuration tasks and providing export support expertise for applications. Development languages and tools used include Java, Javascript, Databases and Messaging platforms. Produce technical designs for new application concepts and features including architecture and deployment plans,  collaborating with other architects in JPMorgan, including Object Oriented design. Perform complex system configuration and application setup. Provide system recommendations for new feature enhancements and developing modules. Conduct analysis of potential enhancement solutions, identify and recommend solutions to address functionality gaps in the application. Responsible for creating and deploying system specifications by analyzing access, information, and security requirements and designing system infrastructure and defining system and operational policies and procedures. Responsible for maintaining technical system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis and performance tuning. Provide troubleshooting for system hardware, software, and operating and system management systems. Design and run system load/stress testing and escalate application problems to partner teams. Design and deploy secure applications including access management, monitoring, control, and evaluation. Establish and test disaster recovery policies and procedures along with the completing back-ups. Lead problem analysis and troubleshooting of production issues, resolving issues to ensure stable and resilient computing systems in place. Build and manage software development processes (build, test, and deployment) with automation using the open-source continuous integration (CI) tool, Jenkins.

Minimum education required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Technology or related field.

 

Minimum experience required: Five (5) years of experience in application development, or related experience.

 

*Skills required: Experience with Java Development. Software analysis and design experience. Experience with software modeling Unified Modeling Language. Experience with Java J2EE, including features JSP, Servlets, JNDI, JAXB, JDBC, and JTA. Experience with data parsing using XML (DOM) and XPATH. User Interface development experience with CSS, jQuery, HTML and Javascript. Knowledge of framework libraries including Spring libraries Spring Data Access and Spring IOC. Knowledge of GWT, Smart GWT, Apache CXF, and Jersey. Knowledge of framework libraries including Apache CXF and AJAX. Experience with messaging products including IBM MQ, Java JMS and Apache Qpid. Demonstrated knowledge of software configuration management and building tooling schedule maven, subversion and shell scripting on Linux & Windows. Demonstrated knowledge of Distributed version control systems including Git and shell scripting using the tool Cygwin. Demonstrated knowledge of databases including Oracle, DB2, MySQL, Hibernate, and Ibatis. Experience with Eclipse, Apache, Tomcat, Apache http server, and visio. Experience with data parsing using  JSON. User Interface development experience with AngularJS. Employer will accept any amount of professional experience with the required skills.
