As a Reconciliation Specialist, you will perform moderately complex reconciliations on assigned accounts which require a basic understanding of accounting concepts. Responsible for routine decisions and determination of course of action.    

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Obtain end-to-end understanding of assigned accounts, including surrounding operations impacting the account, areas generating GL entries to the account, system interfaces, and transaction flow of originating and clearing entries.
  • Research outstanding items for assigned accounts and process clearing entries where appropriate.
  • Communicate with departmental management, business partners and external vendors to facilitate resolution of outstanding items.
  • Timely identification/escalation of problem items, trends, and exceptions to clearing standards on assigned accounts.
  • Participate in project activity and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as assigned.
  • Ensure adherence to Corporate Accounting and departmental policies and procedures.
    • Have excellent attention to detail and concern for all aspects of the job

    • Are able to evaluate and analyze data from multiple sources in a fast-paced environment

    Requirements:

    • Accounting /bookkeeping experience
    • Analytical skills
    • High School diploma, some college or equivalent experience
    • Strong problem solving skills
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), typing and ten-key/calculator
    • Demonstrated ability to take initiatives
    • High level of proficiency
    • Good written and oral communication skills and ability to interact with management
    • Team Player
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
