Web Developer — CCB Internal Communications
Position Description:
We're looking for a front and backend Web Developer to join our small, dynamic team to help us support a wide variety of communications. This role is perfect to combine your technology and communication skills to create engaging tools and great content – it’s the future. You’ll:
  • Develop and maintain a diverse portfolio of reference and communication sites, interactive tools and mobile-friendly communications.
  • Build, manage and maintain databases that power web-based communication tools.
  • Collaborate with writers, designers and developers to create unique and user-friendly tools for communication campaigns and other special projects.
  • Be responsible for development tasks that run the gamut—everything from maintaining existing internal websites to coding and developing great tools from the ground up.
  • Be the technical interface between technology teams, vendors and our creative staff.
  • Support our growing video and digital content technology needs.
This role requires strong technical aptitude, ability to self-prioritize, exceptional accuracy and critical-thinking skills, plus a service-focused approach to working with internal clients. We work in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment and we value the ability to juggle multiple projects and appreciate people who sweat the details.


Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Science Technology or a related field
  • 3‒5 years similar work experience in a professional environment
  • 3 years minimum experience in web development
  • Strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, ability to problem-solve and learn processes and technology quickly
  • Desire and drive to keep up with new and emerging technology
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability, as well as ability to work under pressure
  • Provide support outside of normal business hours when needed, such as during an outage or critical project
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and transforming rough ideas into client-ready deliverables
  • Possesses interpersonal and relationship-building skills to support and communicate with subject-matter experts or communications colleagues who have limited technical knowledge
Required experience with the following technologies:
  • Advanced SharePoint (2010 or 2013) development is a must
  • Expert level JavaScript skills
  • Intermediate experience with SPServices.js
  • Knowledge of responsive web design
  • Knowledge of search engine optimization
  • Knowledge  of accessibility best practices
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience in creating web applications using SharePoint technologies
  • Comfortable interfacing SharePoint sites with other business applications
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency of technical skills through sample projects or work experience
Experience with the following is a plus:
  • SQL Query design considered
  • Experience with SharePoint Designer
  • Experience with Adobe AfterEffects and Premiere Pro CC
