Wealth Management, Trusts and Estates Tax Analyst

The Trusts & Estates Tax practice within Wealth Management has been outsourced to Deloitte Tax LLP.  This role would require a close working relationship with T&E Tax team including contact with internal and external stakeholders.  Primary responsibility will be to provide a strong working knowledge of tax matters for our client base and to ensure compliance with Federal and State filing requirements.   This would include process and procedure, analysis of risk review data and helping to focus on priority items. Also, this role involves frequent interaction with senior management, Deloitte Tax LLP and front office advisors (e.g., Trust Officers, Bankers, Investors, etc.) in a fast-paced team environment, as well as accountability for broader projects. 
 

Responsibilities
  • Support of tax filings
  • Support of refund processing
  • RCSA control, validation and testing
  • Documentation of data analysis & inquiries
  • Documentation  & issue resolution
  • Ad hoc reporting
  • Partner with various areas of Wealth Management, including but not limited to Tax Operations, Trusts & Estates Front Office, external tax vendor etc.
  • Participate in meetings with business partners to assist in development and implementation of best practices
  • Communication & participation in various project activities (business requirements, testing, implementation, procedures, etc)
  • Development, maintenance & presentation of training materials
  •  1 – 3 years of Operations or project analyst experience, tax knowledge/experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills- clear and concise writing and oral skills are crucial to the ability to obtain and disseminate information.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.

  • Ability to plan and prioritize
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a strong team member when needed.
  • Flexible - ability to work long hours during tax season.
  • Proficient with Microsoft products-Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, Access, etc.
  • BS / BA preferred
