This entry-level position (geared to individuals with little or no fulltime work experience) is part of The Asset Management Analyst Program and is applicable to individuals who have recently earned a Bachelor’s degree at an accredited school.  Though most hires into the Program are recruited through our formal campus recruitment efforts, we sometimes conduct supplemental recruitment of candidates with a similar level of experience and academic achievement as our campus hires.  Experienced professionals should apply to positions outside of this Program.

Full-time Analyst Programme:
You will be part of a three-year analyst program designed to provide exposure to multiple business areas within the Private Bank through training, development, and networking. At the end of the three-year program, top performing Analysts will have the opportunity to make associate by participating in an assessment center. Promotional opportunities within J.P. The Role:
The Analyst will support the UK team in a variety of functions to assist with their day-to-day activities, including acquiring new clients, servicing existing ones, explaining strategy and our product offering and managing these important relationships. You will work as part of a team of expert client advisors (bankers, global investment specialists, wealth advisors and capital advisors) to offer unparalleled investment and wealth management solutions to our ultra-high-net-worth and high-net-worth clients, prospects, and their families. The role of the analyst is crucial in ensuring that the team is able to service their clients to the highest standard by supporting the client advisors.
The job opening is for an analyst located in London, and the successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of the role. Responsibilities include:
  • Conducting initial market research on individuals, regions and sectors
  • Comfortable speaking to and meeting with key internal stakeholders and external clients
  • Generating ideas and strategies driving forward new client acquisition
  • Analysing and producing financial data
  • Compiling and creating pitches, attending meetings and managing follow-up
  • Populating and maintaining the deal pipeline and prospect lists
  • Completing Due Diligence Reports (DDRs) and assisting in account openings
  • Maintaining status updates on prospects
  • Working on ad hoc projects for the team
  • Coordinating with global investment specialists, wealth advisors and capital advisors' client    pitches, meeting agendas and assisting the bankers in managing client follow up
  • Supporting other team members where work load allows – to achieve time critical deadlines
  • Building relationships internally and externally to develop a strong network of professionals that could assist in the client acquisition process
Skills required:
  • Confidence and initiative to take on responsibility and manage your own projects
  • Prior experience in Wealth Management/Asset Management desired 
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
  • Professional qualifications like the CFA are encouraged
  • A minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management and organization skills
  • Good ability to multi-task
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team-player
  • Strong and visible interest in the financial markets
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Powerpoint

Candidates must demonstrate an interest and knowledge in financial markets, as well as possess excellent analytical, organisational, attention-to-detail, communication, leadership, teamwork and interpersonal skills. Initiative, enthusiasm and confidence to complete projects are also a must. This role would suit someone who is looking for an entry level position or has some experience in the financial markets.  
Fluency in English is mandatory; an additional European language would also be desirable but not essential.
This role encompasses the performance of regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the relevant regulatory authorities to carry out such activities.
