The Suitability program delivers a technology solution to support many regulatory directives and requirements globally. The solution covers many different aspects of the client and trade lifecycle:
Capturing data from clients, from multiple channels (online and paper) and route that through an internal review and approval process
Algorithmically determining, from the captured data, the clients’ appetite for risk and their understanding of different investment products
Calculating the risk factors of the different products clients may invest in
Pre-trade checks to ensure all trades made for a client are suitable
Post-trade checks to evaluate various aspects of each clients overall portfolio
MIS, enabling reporting to internal compliance and external regulatory bodies
The program is global and delivers to all jurisdictions
This role is for a technical lead on the Client Profile Management (CPM) component of the Suitability platform. Key responsibilities shall include:
Provide detailed technical implementation leadership to the CPM development team in all locations
Work on the technical roadmap, in conjunction with the LDA
Ensure quality is achieved across the technical team by defining and enforcing best practice
Participate in scrum of scrums, and actively seek ways to streamline processes and improve productivity
Ensure that all stories in the Jira backlog are appropriately estimated and understood by the development team
Manage communications to stakeholders and team-members
Shape the adoption of SDLC processes throughout the team
The CPM platform is undergoing major redevelopment with a legacy platform being replaced and three new business areas being onboarded to a new platform.
- Broad experience of modern database and services platforms and software development generally
- Experience of modern web development using frameworks such as Angular 2/4 or React
- Very strong Java development skills incorporating a range of frameworks
- Experience of messaging platforms
- Experience with Jira and Confluence is an advantage – or similar Agile enabling tooling
- Recent experience in a technical lead role
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a clear ability to negotiate and influence outcomes
- Experience in a multi-geography setting, across time-zones and with remote teams
- Experience of SCRUM/Agile at scale
- Understanding of test automation technologies and behaviour driven development (BDD) (desirable)
- Understanding of the Asset Management / Private Banking business (desirable)
