We have an open opportunity at Analyst level in the CIB Risk covering the CIB Corporates portfolio. 
The person will be a key player in the execution of full and comprehensive credit analysis of clients in portfolio.  S/he will leverage upon past credit risk management or related experience to assist senior management in the credit approval process.  S/he will demonstrate the ability to become a credit officer who is capable of executing his/her own transactions independently.  Most importantly, the candidate will be highly enthusiastic about J.P. Morgan's mission and be driven and committed to its success.
Core responsibilities
  • Participate in the "full cycle" of credit analysis, including reviewing and formulating financial analysis
  • Play a key role in execution of written credit approval memos, annual client reviews, and quarterly industry reviews, as well as partnering with associates to ensure team’s priorities are met
  • Transaction execution: support due diligence, document preparation, negotiation etc. and liaising with relevant counterpart at the client/other advisers (accounting, legal, etc.)
  • Keeping abreast of key market developments and establishing knowledge of the client base and market dynamics
  • Track and communicate news, earnings calls, and changes that affect credit views of clients in portfolio
  • Training, coaching and mentoring of junior colleagues
  • Assignment and/or review of internal credit ratings
  • Assist to set/modify credit facilities for reviewed clients
  • Outstanding financial analysis and modelling skills (accounting knowledge)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required
  • Knowledge of the Brazilian Corporates markets, industries and businesses
  • Solid communication and analytical skills
  • In-depth understanding of credit products and documentation is desirable
  • Experience in dealing with clients and other transactional advisers (accounting, legal, etc.)
  • Strong team player
  • Proactive, independent
  • Excellent technology skills with superior Excel and PowerPoint skills and ability to quickly learn new software applications
  • Excellent written and oral English skills
