The individual selected to join the Infrastructure Decomm as a Service Team will be primarily responsible for coordinating and managing sever /non-Server decommissions as requested by clients, ensuring that SLAs and quality standards are met. The selected individual will handle client escalations in a professional manner, contribute to and lead process improvements and automation projects. Identify Process improvements to increase the efficiency and quality of the Decomm Factory functions. Collaboration with the GTI Decomm Factory, engineering, build, operations, monitoring, and project managers will be required to implement critical initiatives. The Infrastructure Decomm as a Service Team is critical to the firm’s key initiatives and play a vital role in protecting the firm’s assets and ensuring they are gracefully decommissioned from the firm’s environment.  As an individual contributor, you will work dynamically across many globally diverse virtual teams to deliver strategic projects. You will be responsible for managing our stakeholder engagements and partnering with them to identify areas of improvement across the End to End Decomm workflow.

  • 7+ years of experience delivering Data Center infrastructure products and services (server, storage, and networking).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing and coordinating projects as well as leading technical resources.
  • Intermediate experience with multiple operating systems including Redhat Linux, Microsoft Windows, IBM AIX, and VMware ESX
  • Experience with monitoring and supporting Wintel WEB based service
  • 2-3 years Oracle, Oracle RAC and MS SQL specific experience a plus
  • Understanding the VMware Virtual Center environment, including new VM creation, modification, and deletion
  • Experience with blade-based server platforms and their design and management tools, such as HP and IPDco UCS
  • Understanding of standard layered tools including CFengine, Tivoli, Symantec ESM, NetSNMP, KeON, etc
  • Good working knowledge of automated server workflow and provisioning tools such as Oracle SOA and VCAC (DynamicOps)
  • Experience with SAN and NAS data storage technologies including EMC, Hitachi Data Systems, IBM XIV, NetApp, and F5 Acopia
  • Good understanding of routing/switching concepts, IP assignment, LAN/WAN/VLAN configurations, CISCO/Juniper products, and network inventory management systems
  • Experience with process engineering, ITIL/Six Sigma approaches, workflow management and complex provisioning environments
  • Proven success delivering enterprise technologies to the lines of business in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Global infrastructure planning and delivery experience
  • Understanding of a production environment 
  • Candidate should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented and a  responsible team-player
  • Understanding of ITIL concepts especially Incident and Change management principles is a mandatory requirement
  • Understanding of Agile methodology. Scrum Master certification a plus
  • Understanding of Cloud Computing and platforms
  • Good Reporting and Data Analysis skills utilizing SAP Business Objects/MS Excel
  • Knowledge of internal GTI Programs such as GT Vision, Client Experience (CX), Rules of the Road a plus
  • Understanding of Automation, API calls, Systems Integration
