The Global Payment Strategy is a strategic multi-year investment program via which J.P. Morgan Treasury Services is transforming both its TS Payment Services and the infrastructure via which these services are delivered.  
Considered to be one of the Firms major strategic initiatives, the teams aligned to this project operate in a fast paced, dynamic, multi-threaded and deadline driven environment.    
New capabilities being developed through the GPS Program include but are not limited to:
  • support for new and innovative payment methods (U.S. Faster Payments for example)
  • establishment of a new global low cost network for clearing and settling
  • close integration of the payment offering with liquidity and account services to enable truly innovative Treasury Management solutions
  • client advanced service analytics, configuration and exception management services on a self service basis
  • enhancement and globalization of existing capabilities and service levels
About the Position
Global Payment Strategy Business Analyst Responsibilities include:
  • Business Architecture – defining the end to end business flows related to delivery of TS Payment Services.  Working with Technology and other Functional Partners to agree operational, service delivery and systems architecture that supports these flows.
  • Requirements Definition – analysing detailed end to end business requirements associated with delivery of TS Payment Services.  Working with Operations and other Functional Partners to consolidate these requirements and to author detailed statements of requirements for Technology.
  • Assisting the Technology organization’s efforts to translate business requirements into  Technical Functional Designs
  • Contributing to Test Plan development and execution.
  • Create and maintain project plans, drive accountability and ensure target deliverable dates are achievable by the global Ops team.
  • Drive progress on tasks and actions items through regular status meetings with business partners.
  • Escalate deliverable delays and document “path to green” responses.
  • Generate regular Project Status reports, executive summaries, meeting minutes and actions items to team members, stakeholders and senior management.
  • Organize cross functional meetings that will review tasks and deliverables with the appropriate team members.
  • Support the management of multiple initiatives in varying stages simultaneously.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and cross functional groups
Required Skills –
  • Members of the team possess strengths in process re-engineering, project management, problem solving, effective communication, and subject matter knowledge.  
  • The position requires flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt within a dynamic environment.
  • Candidates should have outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and oral communication skills and enthusiasm for fast-paced, iterative project management.
  • Strong operational knowledge
  • Ability to be an integral team member (planning support, documenting, communicating).
  • Able to prioritize, help drive results and influence team members in a cross functional, diverse environment.
  • Payment product management experience preferred
  • Strong analytical ability and influencing skills
  • Work independently
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Project planning skills
  • Effectively create presentations for management and peer groups and ability to communicate both verbally and written.
  • Ability to multi task and deliver against tight deadlines.


  • Masters Degree (e.g. MBA, MSc, MCA, etc.) with 8 years of post qualification experience or Graduate with Minimum of 10 years of work experience in a financial institution or should have done Project Management or Business Analyst
  • Experience and Strong working knowledge of various aspects of cash operations would be preferable.
  • Strong PC skills (Microsoft Suite including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Visio)
