Product Strategy Analyst/Associate
Key Responsibilities: Work on Strategic Product Management (SPM) focusing on Global Research and Product Development Leadership Team (PDLT).
 
Strategic Product Management:
The mission of the Strategic Product Management (SPM) organization is to shape and position the global AM product suite working closely with both investment & distribution teams. The principles of SPM are to be objective and fact based, disciplined in approach, and transparent and communicative.
 
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Global Research / Product Strategy
  • Drive global research agenda by tracking, summarizing and communicating research through the appropriate channels
  • Analyze key market dynamics, flows, competitor positioning, and competitor launches to ensure JPMAM makes more informed decisions
  • Develop a proficiency in the JPMorgan product range, competitor products, and industry trends
  • Draw connections between market research and knowledge of JPMorgan product range that will help shape conversation tying core investment capabilities to market trends
  • Participate in product innovation and rationalization efforts connecting client teams and investment teams and developing a strong partnership with Product Development teams
  • Coordinate preparation of senior management presentations
     
    Product Development Leadership Team (PDLT) - PDLT is a leadership forum that shapes & positions the global AM product offering by bridging communication across investment and client distribution teams
  • Coordinate working groups and presentations for 2-3 topics per month ensuring PDLT sticks to its core principles for success
  • Ensure connectivity across other relevant product governance forums, such as the regional Product Steering Committees, weekly SPM team meetings, the Investment Strategy Review Group, the Sustainable Investment Leadership Team
  • Ensure PDLT meetings are effective and that initiatives are followed through to completion by maintaining follow ups and meeting notes
  • Create SPM Quarterly newsletter and other communication efforts to keep broader business informed of product optimization activity (new product launches, liquidations, mergers & pricing
    • Asset Management industry knowledge and experience (2-5 years experience)
    • Strong verbal and written communications skills
    • Candidate must have a cumulative undergraduate GPA of a 3.2
    • Ability to turn data into information, use intuition to make connections in this information and identify trends
    • Ability to partner with stakeholders across channels, regions, and product teams
    • Collaborative, team player who takes time to understand others’ points of view
    • Proficient use of Microsoft Office e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, as well as industry databases e.g., Morningstar, and a quick learner of new tools
