Our Corporate Technology team relies on smart, driven people like you to develop applications and provide tech support for all our corporate functions across our network. Your efforts will touch lives all over the financial spectrum and across all our divisions: Global Finance, Corporate Treasury, Risk Management, Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, and within the Corporate Administrative Office. You’ll be part of a team specifically built to meet and exceed our evolving technology needs, as well as our technology controls agenda.

 

The HR Global Data Warehouse (GDW) Team is currently looking for a Project Execution / Project Manager. This individual will play a key role in the delivery and ongoing support of the Global Data Warehouse Platform (GDW) for helping team define priority work to focus and manage work in Agile methodology.  They will be responsible for the working closely with demand management and analysis of the needs of warehousing team to ensure the highest degree of service and production environment integrity for GDW End User population within JPMorgan Chase.  This individual will also be asked to work on a highly agile team, and drive strategic adaption firm wide.  Knowledge of all phases of software development life cycles (SDLC), supporting a software application suite / infrastructure, and Quality Assurance programs are preferred.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work with the peers in development, engineering & architecture to maintain and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Platform.
  • Adheres to architecture standards, risk management and security policies, leading presentations in architecture review, strategic technology directions, best practice development (e.g., estimating models), mentoring less experienced team members, code reviews.
  • Perform the role of an Application Analyst on projects in releases, supporting Data content, Reporting, Configurations, Extracts, and Operating Model activities.
  • Review business requirements for the projects, providing feedback to requirements submitters on quality and completeness of requirements against the understood projects.
  • Co-author / Create the detailed technical functional specifications for assigned projects.
  • Lead the review of project specifications with the Development Team to ensure they have a common understanding of the project.
  • Ensure the required specifications have been uploaded to the Work Force Technology site of preference and have been linked to the business requirements.
  • Key leadership role in SIT testing, including partnering and reviewing of QA testing results for the project.
  • Interface with UAT testers and participate in UAT defect triage support and remediation.
  • Provide assessments of Change Requests after investigation by the team; During Implementation, participate in the implementation planning activities.
  • Deliver the assigned work within specified timelines with high quality.
  • Demonstrates sound analytic and diagnostic skills dealing with issues.
  • Set and manage functional objectives, establish and evolve operating environments and lead innovation efforts.
  • Partner with Application Development, QA, and Architecture and Engineering groups on all release and support activities.
  • Ensure compliance with JPMC’s risks and controls policies/procedures and best practice.
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a business analyst within a technology or operations organization.
  • 5 + years of experience in writing functional specifications based on technical requirements preferred.
  • The ability to work through decision making with key stakeholders in performance management, technology, compliance and HR partners; excellent influencing skills.
  • HR or Operations experience strongly desired; preferably in talent, diversity or disability inclusion with deep knowledge and understanding of work-flows and processes. 
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; able to synthesize information from multiple perspectives & recommend action.
  • Ability to coach team and drive Agile methodologies.  Knowledge about tasks, backlog tracking, burn down metrics, velocity, and user stories.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to effectively manage multiple projects with differing time horizons.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to create and build business relationships.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills, as well as listening skills; able to facilitate meetings & create agendas.
  • Results oriented.  Able to deliver timely, accurate, thorough, and high quality work in challenging situations.   
  • Strong partnership skills and knowledge of the JPMC lines of Business and functions.
  • Excellent organizational skills.  Ability to discern critical items, perform follow up, & strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of regulatory policies for financial services recruiting preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint/PitchPro, Word).
  • Ability to create and tell a story to audiences at varying levels.
  • Strong technical skills: Excel, SharePoint, Powerpoint, etc.
