Job Description: Category Manager
Reporting To: Head of EMEA Sourcing
JPMorgan Chase seeks to do business with suppliers who provide the best price, quality and capability to meet our business needs. With over 800 team members, our Global Supplier Services (GSS) organization works proactively with line of business colleagues to design and execute category sourcing strategies, identify capable suppliers, lead the competitive sourcing process and negotiate and contract with the chosen suppliers. Leveraging firm-wide buying power and controlling risk are consistent overarching goals. GSS then ensures that the contracted goods and services can be obtained by our employees in an efficient, cost-effective manner globally.
This Category Manager role will ultimately report to the Head of EMEA Sourcing and is responsible for designing and/or execution of global and/or regional strategies for third party supplier spend across a number of categories. The role will work closely with Global Category Directors and their teams based across a number of locations globally. The Sourcing Manager will lead the development of global and/or regional category sourcing plans or implement strategies regionally.
This position requires an experienced professional able to develop relationships within the lines of business and coordinate with Sourcing Leads globally, where required. The role requires excellent analytical skills and prior project management experience to perform program management activities in support of supplier on-boarding.
