Job Description

The Global Corporate Bank (“GCB”) manages J.P. Morgan's overall relationships with large corporations and financial institutions globally with dedicated coverage provided by experienced corporate bankers, who deliver the firm's extensive product platform and presence in more than 60 countries worldwide.  We help our clients meet their growth objectives and challenges through a comprehensive suite of financing, risk management, working capital, cash management, investment and other corporate banking services.  JPMorgan Chase Bank N.A. Istanbul Branch works closely with JPMorgan product teams regionally and globally to provide these services. 
 
Analyst / Associate is an integral member of the Corporate Banking team assisting corporate bankers in delivering the GCB strategy.  The Analyst / Associate will work with GCB team members, assisting them with all client activities (marketing, execution and on-going relationship management). The Analyst / Associate will assume responsibility for managing internal processes for deal executions, internal approvals, business aspects of regulatory reporting and on-going management of client relationships.  The Analyst / Associate will be responsible for taking the lead on ad-hoc analysis and creating presentations to be used for discussions with senior management. Frequent interactions with other corporate areas as well as line of business teams will enable the candidate to build an expansive global network across the Firm.  Also given tight deadlines and multiple assignments, the candidate will need to be a self-starter and be able to handle multiple requests.
 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 
  • Assist Corporate Bankers in originating and executing transactions, managing existing client relationships and developing new client base.
  • Develop proficiency across all products within the scope of the GCB (Credit, Loan Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, FX, Rates, Commodities, Trade Finance, Cash Management).
  • Partner with various stakeholders in the firm (corporate bankers and product partners across LOBs) to maximize the firm-wide revenue potential at acceptable returns across targeted clients and prospects.
  • Prepare and maintain internal reports including deal tracking, pipeline reports, account plans and balance sheet memos 
  • Prepare internal approval documents such as Balance Sheet Committee models/write-ups and compliance committee approval templates such as AMLOC, RRC, etc.
  • Manage Know Your Customer approval/remediation processes of existing and prospective GCB client base.
  • Attend client meetings, review financial statements, listen to and summarize investor presentations, and support credit approval and documentation process.
  • Work with product partners globally throughout DCM, Markets, IB, Trade and TS LOBs
  • Conduct his/her work in accordance with J.P. Morgan’s legislation, regulation and regulatory and supervisory institutions and compliance with the regulations of the bank’s institutional procedures.
  • Help with projects as requested

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High level of motivation, dependability, intelligence & a team player
  • At least three years of professional experience (experience in Corporate Banking, Investment Banking or Credit is a plus, but not required)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex problems/situations into concise conclusions
  • Time management, organization and planning skills
  • Ability to mobilize internal networks and resources
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and computer skills including PowerPoint and Excel-based modeling
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with fluency in English & Turkish.
