Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) is the technology infrastructure organization for the firm, delivering a wide range of products and services, and partnering with all lines of business to provide high quality service delivery, exceptional project execution and financially disciplined approaches and processes in the most cost effective manner. The objective of GTI is to balance both business alignment and the centralized delivery of core products and services. GTI is designed to address the unique infrastructure needs of specific lines of business and the demand to leverage economies of scale across the firm.
End User Services (EUS) delivers measurable business value by providing core desktop technology solutions that meet business demand while realizing cost efficiencies. EUS works with our Line of Business partners to develop standardized, resilient operating environments and implement a global technology strategy for the firm's 200,000+ workstations and 40,000+ remote access users. We oversee important tasks, including: incident management, user management, security access and controls, work order management, media management, application and business data recovery, and disaster recovery.
User Experience & Account Management (UXAM) organization is focused on delivering exceptional user experience on all technology services within the End User portfolio and driving a "User Centric" design practice across the service teams. User Experience encompasses all aspects of the person’s experience with the product or system including design, graphics, the interface, the physical interaction, and the manual interaction.
UXAM's Strategy & Program Management (S&PM) team ensures the user is at the center of the product lifecycle through various methodologies including focus groups, usability tests, contextual interviews and surveys, product roadmap feature planning/prioritization, and end user tool development. UXAM is transforming how the technology needs of the firm’s employees are met by delivering a comprehensive portal solution that includes, among other things, channels for the provisioning of, education of, and support for the products and services owned by EUS. Solution provides our employees with a more holistic user journey, and a new easy-to-use and consume ecosystem.
Towards this objective, UXAM is looking for Software Engineers to become part of our global technology team. In this role, you will develop software solutions that provide the business with the necessary tools needed to perform their jobs at an extremely high level. This will include the development and implementation of Web-based front-end, middleware, and database on a distributed platform. In addition, you will be required to research new technologies, adapt quickly and provide technical guidance to other team members, review and drive quality of delivery. Lastly, to accomplish these tasks, it is essential to follow Agile, or SCRUM, methodologies and work with multiple globally distributed teams to deliver high quality products.
Communicate effectively with groups both within and outside of UXAM to coordinate design, development, and testing efforts of your assigned application components to ensure the successful delivery of the project
Ensure the successful design, development, testing, and implementation of application components from a project level
Utilize mature programming methodologies and languages and adhere to coding standards, procedures, and techniques
Use current coding methodologies to develop and support UXAM functionality and contribute to technical code documentation
Attend technology design meetings and recommend system and data improvements to designers while adhering to all IT control policies
Identify and troubleshoot application code-related issues to provide superior feedback for approved user documentation
Collaborate with the Systems Architect to identify potential gaps and enhancements in the web application framework and perform research and development tasks where required with guidance and supervision
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field or the foreign equivalent
Comfortable in more than one programming language and have a firm grasp of fundamental web/internet technologies; mandatory object oriented language; i.e., Java
Must be highly proficient with building modern web applications
Must be highly proficient in SQL, preferably across multiple databases
Must have excellent analytical, management, technical, oral, and written communication skills; able to convey complex information simply and clearly to senior business leaders
Self-motivated team player
Mentor team members to progress their technical and professional skills
Must possess the ability to research and resolve issues independently while working across teams to acquire needed information
Ability to organize/manage multiple priorities and projects coupled with the flexibility to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment
