The goal of the Global Business Resiliency (GBR) Team is to ensure firm wide oversight over all business resiliency.  Business resiliency focuses on ensuring that the firm can maintain key business processes, systems and support functions in the event of disruptive events.  GBR is looking to build out a footprint in Poland.
 
The GBR Location Lead will be responsible for working with functional teams in the business and across GBR to understand and establish the local footprint.  The role is heavily orientated around centralization of core resiliency functions and operational management.   The role will report to the local GS&I lead and functionally to the EMEA Head of Global Resiliency.
 
Role Summary/Responsibilities: 
  • Build an intimate knowledge of the GBR organization,  programs,  processes  and needs/challenges within the location
  • Build out the GBR support functions – including Technology, Testing and Governance and Control  
  • Participate in existing location Operational Risk & Control Governance Meetings as a representative of GBR
  • Support GBR in coordinating and managing business resiliency efforts in the EMEA region
  • Provide subject matter expertise, advice, and support to Lines of Business/Management in the region
  • Proactively identify  assess  and help to resolve macro/systemic resiliency risks and challenges  
  • Network with relevant industry peer groups to promote information sharing and leverage
     
Qualifications 
  • BA (or equivalent) degree required
  • 8+ years financial services experience with background  in Business Resiliency, and/or exposure in Operations or Risk and Controls related fields (e.g. audit, resiliency, operational risk) preferred
  • Experience in stablishing an off-shoring unit from the bottom up
  • Experience in independently leading and managing delivery teams supporting large complex organizations
  • Strong operational/process knowledge 
  • Experience in using metrics /MIS to drive operational performance within an organization. 
  • Strong leadership skills and relationship building and influencing skills 
  • Self-starter and motivated, able to operate with limited supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (communicate effectively at all levels of the organization).
  • Strong Proficiency skills in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
