The Treasury and the Chief Investment Office (TCIO) within JPMorgan manages the balance sheet of one of the world’s largest global financial institutions with more than $2.5 trillion in assets and liabilities, including more than $800 billion in loans and $1.3 trillion in deposits. Because it sits at the very center of the firm, TCIO directly influences the composition of the firm’s balance sheet as well the activities of the firm’s four main lines of business (LOBs): Asset & Wealth Management, Commercial Banking, Corporate & Investment Bank, and Consumer & Community Banking.

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Deploying the firm’s excess liquidity
  • Managing the firm’s funding and liabilities
  • Aggregating and managing the structural interest rate and foreign exchange risk of JPMorgan’s main businesses
  • Managing the firm’s liquidity risk and its regulatory compliance

The Firm wide ALM Analytics (FALMA) team supports the Liquidity & Interest rate risk management functions on behalf of the Treasury teams across all of our business units. The team performs a critical role in data validation, GL reconciliation, scenario analysis and reporting of the firm’s Liquidity & Structural Interest Rate risk. The team is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all information in support of the firm’s internal and regulatory Liquidity Risk and Interest Rate Risk reporting and analytics, including compliance with specific jurisdictional requirements by line of business, legal entity and currency.

We also partner with a wide range of stakeholders across the firm in:
  • Daily reconciliation of balances to the general ledger
  • Impact analyses for changes in regulatory reporting (e.g. LCR, 5G, Stress, Recovery & Resolution etc.)
  • Strategic sourcing, automation of feeds from various source systems into the central technology platforms in Treasury-CIO
  • Ensuring data quality controls in upstream sources & aggregation platforms

  • Evaluate our daily operating model for liquidity risk and identify opportunities to simplify or automate processes and partner with the Corporate team to implement robotics.
  • Partner with product SMEs on the team to understand their daily controls processes and build out the next generation of advanced analytical capabilities in Tableau.
  • Assist in implementing a global footprint & BAU coverage model to support the team’s expanded role, improve SLAs and provide regional support to local LOB teams.

  • The candidate must be a self-starter, able to work in a fast paced and results driven environment with minimal oversight and possess a strong sense of accountability and responsibility.
  • Attention to detail, strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Quick learner with the ability to map out business processes and leverage technology to drive process improvements
  • Demonstrable experience in managing and proactively driving solutions to unstructured problems.
  • Team player with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills to interface with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office products: Word, Excel (and formulas), PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio.
  • Knowledge of banking and/or trading products is a plus.
