The FOS CIB technology team is responsible for working with the front office, BCO and FOS Program Management team providing oversight of multiple strategic projects within the Corporate and Investment Bank oversight of the development team. The role will involve close partnership with other functional support groups like Operations, Product Control, Risk, Audit and Compliance. The Business Analyst would be expected to work with senior lead owning a number of cross line of business / asset class initiatives including:
  • Regulatory Response management programs
  • Strategic and transformational programs with front office ownership
The expectation from this group is to simultaneously work on multiple initiatives with strong business and regulatory focus. This will require strong leadership and oversight of the development team and engaging senior front office leaders, business managers, control officers and other senior stakeholders from the support groups.

Key Responsibilities:
The team is looking for Business Analyst provide strong support and leadership within the broad program of the FOS CIB technology team.  The person will be responsible for working with the senior manager of the group overseeing the delivery of a select number of initiatives in an Agile manner.
The typical responsibilities include: 
  • Support the Agile development and rollout of large cross LOB initiatives, programs and projects, including stakeholder management, operating model development, communication, management, identification and reporting of project milestones, risks, dependencies and issues.
  • Driving related deliverables, influencing the prioritisation and delivery where necessary.
  • Analysis and review of business requirements, ensuring that there are accurate and complete build deliverables which meet agreed functional business needs.
  • Documentation control and development management via the JIRA application.
  • Work closely with onshore and offshore developers and FOS Program Management Team in Mumbai, London and New York during design, build/configuration and delivery phases.
  • Establish testing criteria and assist in system integration testing.
  • Facilitation of user acceptance testing.
  • Third line support for implemented systems, provide day to day business analysis support.
  • Implementation of enhancements to existing systems/processes.
  • Manage communication of status updates to stakeholders and Senior Management through presentations and reports used in different forums.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with stakeholders in the different businesses our team supports.
  • Coordinate working group meetings where required, setting the agenda, preparing meeting materials, documenting minutes and ensuring clear ownership of action items.
  • Attend forums for discussion of issues, progress, dependencies as and when needed, working in concert with the stream leads of the various programs.
  • Ensuring stability, capacity and resiliency of the production environment.
  • Evolution of the application roadmap and strategy.
Qualifications requires:
  • Ability to define and manage project plans, taking end to end ownership and full accountability for meeting project delivery dates.
  • Experience working with principles such as Specification by example (SBE) and Test Driven Development (TDD) and JIRA.
  • Ability to operate effectively in an Agile software development life-cycle environment with complete understanding of processes to be followed throughout.
  • Ability to document and review detailed functional and technical specifications.
  • Strong analytical, data management and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a changing work environment.
  • Ability to execute tasks under aggressive targets and effectively manage to changes in plan.
