The Digital Business Services team is chartered with managing and directing the business services supporting major externally facing application components (web and native mobile apps) focusing on the discipline of functional delivery in the area of customer login, enrollment, product enrollment, and data sourcing across the JPMorgan Chase & Co. enterprise.
 
Work will include supporting the very large test environment footprint owned by Digital Business Services. Candidate must have a solid understanding of middleware messaging technology with proven experience working in a multi-tiered environment. Candidate should be well versed in testing techniques and be able to produce comprehensive tests for all developed code. Candidate must also support and participate in system and integrated testing across sub-systems as the need arises. Candidate should be capable of producing solid documentation both inside code and external design specifications

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Payment Switch, Token Vault, Solution for Pay with Points and enhancements
  • Able to manage and provide innovative ideas to the team
  • Responsible for driving and executing the scrum team.
  • Build and execute necessary test cases which rigorously test developed code
  • Self-starter, independently takes initiative in driving assignments to completion and solving problems without need for escalation
  • Proactively research and develop new technologies, services, solutions, etc.
  • Proactively identify gaps in all processes, procedures, monitors, alerts, designs, etc. and provide recommendations on how to resolve
  • Perform regular/periodic peer/code reviews
  • Monitor health and capabilities of Environments
  • problems without need for escalation
  • Proactively research and develop new technologies, services, solutions, etc.
  • Proactively identify gaps in all processes, procedures, monitors, alerts, designs, etc. and provide recommendations on how to resolve
  • Perform regular/periodic peer/code reviews

Required Technical and Business Skills:

 

  • Required 8 years experience in support of container based Websphere/Tomcat environments
  • Experience with open source frameworks, specifically from Apache, Google, Netflix
  • Experience with DB2
  • Experience with Messaging technologies like MQ, Kafka
  • Experience with scripting and working in *ix/Linux environments
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls and load balancers (F5, Cisco)
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk/Dynatrace/Geneos/ITM
  • Experience with ITIL tools & incident management/service management/change management
  • Experience with high volume, mission critical applications
  • Experience working in an Agile SDLC
  • Experience working on large and medium scale software projects
  • Experience working in a fast-paced financial services/digital focused delivery environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and time management skills
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

 Preferred Knowledge and Experience:

  • Previous experience working in financial services
  • Experience working with no-SQL databases like Cassandra
  • Worked with job schedulers like Control-M/Autosys
  • Hands on experience with Apache Hadoop and Spark ecosystems of open-source tools and ML packages. Our data processing and modeling pipelines are built using Spark, MapReduce, Hive, Kafka, ElasticSearch, HBase, Cassandra, and other open-source platforms

Roles/Tasks

  • Monitoring of all Nucleus Applications
  • Lower Level Environment build out for certain Projects/Releases
  • Determining the alerting needed from an Application perspective
  • Problem resolution on Production and lower level environment issues
  • Supporting Cassandra requests
  • Overnight support (US time) for ITSM tasks and validations needed
  • Scheduling jobs in Control M
  • Creating application flow diagrams for the Nucleus team
  • Monitoring the KAFKA and SPARK modules
  • DBA support for Cassandra
  • Effective communication on issues related to the Nucleus application
  • Supporting Cross impacted ITSMs/Changes in the Prod environment

Qualifications:

Education:

B.S or M.S (Computer Science preferred), should have proven course work in several computer software, algorithms, data structures, programming languages subject areas
