The Asset Based Lending (ABL) business structures deals that address the complex financial and operational needs of customers in the US, Canada, Europe and Australia with revenues $20MM to $1B or more.  The ABL Credit Support Specialist coordinates activities between ABL Risk, Wholesale Lending Services (WLS) and external customers.  Activities include pre-closing customer orientation and account set-up, ARC proposal preparation, credit data management, letter of credit approvals, post-closing documentation follow-up and other related tasks. 
 
Pre-Closing Activities
  • Participate in Loan Book discussions with clients and Risk Partners
  • Set-up or restructure iDDA accounts
  • Establish client data in Client Central (UCNs, ABL CRU assignment, credit hierarchies, coverage roles)
Approvals Recording & Control - Related Activities
  • Initiate credit facility proposals in ARC for new facilities, existing facilities and data maintenance.
  • Populate facility data per the information provided by Risk Partners and in accordance with Risk Policy
  • Update proposals as needed prior to release based on changes made during negotiation; finalize dates
  • Attach supporting documents to the ARC Proposal
  • Perform approval overrides
  • Route proposals for approval
  • Complete/Release all proposals
  • Cancel facilities related to paid out deals
Letter of Credit Activities
  • Request Parts-In, Parts-Out and/or Direct CIFs as required
  • Interface with CB LC Service Team to coordinate issuance or amendment
  • Provide GTS with participation share percentages for non-Agented deals
  • Monitor and route LC’s for approval
Loan Documents & Post-Closing Activities
  • Review draft and executed loan documents such as loan agreement, notes, guaranties, and security documents for accuracy and agreement with approved terms.
  • Coordinate with WLS, outside counsel and the Real Estate Transaction Services team to obtain third-party vendor work such as flood zone certifications, title work, insurance certificates, and UCC searches.
  • When requested, assist in loan closings directly with the client.
  • Download documents from Intralinks when applicable.
  • Ensure completeness of loan package and forward package to WLS.
  • Review draft and executed loan documents such as loan agreement, notes, guaranties, and security documents for accuracy and agreement with approved terms.
  • Coordinate with WLS, outside counsel and the Real Estate Transaction Services team to obtain third-party vendor work such as flood zone certifications, title work, insurance certificates, and UCC searches.
  • When requested, assist in loan closings directly with the client.
  • Download documents from Intralinks when applicable.
  • Ensure completeness of loan package and forward package to WLS.
Credit Data Management & Other Responsibilities
  • Manage credit data in Client Central via Client Data Management Team (CIF linkage, credit family structures, credit transfers, coverage roles)
  • Execute data remediation projects.
  • Monitor various data reports for accuracy and correct any errors.
  • Coordinate payment of legal, field exam and appraisal invoices via Concur, PASSPORT and ABLE Loan Ops
 
  • College degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years professional experience in loan/product operations or a credit/lending environment.
  • General knowledge of loan documentation.
  • General knowledge of treasury and credit products.
  • General experience with related credit systems such as ARC, Client Central, iCRD, DealWorks, GTS Inquiry.
  • Ability to understand moderate to complex customer structures.
  • Good verbal, written and organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented with ability to multi task and work in a team based environment.
  • Asset Based Lending experience is a plus.
