The Model Risk Governance & Review (MRGR) Chief Operating Office (COO) team based in New York partners with executive management to develop and execute on model risk management strategy and operating model improvements. MRGR COO is responsible for managing delivery and overseeing and reporting on the Model Risk Book of Work, including regulatory and strategic programs.
The Model Risk Management (MRM) strategic target end state program is a cross-LOB initiative to deliver on regulatory and strategic framework changes and implement controls and procedures to sustainably execute against the new processes that are designed. This Program is sponsored at the Chief Risk Officer level of JPMorgan Chase.
This role will be responsible for managing the formal program reporting, communications and program tracking against specific deliverables and metrics.
Key Responsibilities:  
  • Monitor and track MRGR Program of projects and support weekly Program updates to provide stakeholders with required information to successfully meet deadlines
  • Provide project management support to MRGR COO PMO lead in managing all reporting to the Senior Model Risk management team and other lines of business
  • Participate in the development and tracking of internal projects and regulatory deliverables
  • Identify opportunities to automate or streamline current processes, with a focus on driving efficiency and improvements in controls
  • Collect and store all required compliance artifacts for the project across the project life cycle
  • Review, edit, and fine-tune executive-level presentations, with a focus on creating consistent and compelling products that more successfully inform and engage target audiences, including regulators

  • Extensive experience in project reporting, tracking and analysis within the financial services industry and as part of the PMO
  • Bachelor’s degree required; experience in risk, finance and regulatory a plus
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Previous experience in establishing and tracking KPIs and metrics
  • Strong proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio and MS Project
  • Ability to perform in a high pressure and fast paced environment; Results-oriented / delivery focused; ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and time management skills
  • Ability to identify, research, and escalate critical issues.
  • Highly disciplined, self-motivated, and delivery-focused individual who is able to work independently as well as part of a team
