JPMorgan Chase Intelligent Solutions is looking to hire a Senior Technical Lead responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of data–centric projects and ETL development for Big Data Platforms.
 
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with technical and management skills to put their abilities to work in an exciting growth environment. Ideal candidate will be action-oriented, process driven and innovative driving force, responsible for leading the team that is accountable to deliver Application and Data Services for Big Data Technologies. Ensure new features are designed and implemented according to established design and architectural standards and practices.
 
Responsibilities
  • Lead the team responsible for architecture, design, development, testing, and implementation of applications and ETL for Big Data technology stack for variety of data driven projects ranging from analytics, warehouse to operational.
  • Understand complex business requirements and take the lead to design data architecture solutions in compliance with firm wide data management principles and security controls for Big Data Environment consisting of Hadoop, Greenplum, Hbase, Spark, Kafka, and  Impala etc.
  • Govern data decisions related to data model design, data access patterns, and data services.
  • Develop and maintain controls on data quality, interoperability and sources to effectively manage corporate risk
  • Establish and drive adoption of best practices for application engineering, component re-use, architecture design and technical standards.
  • Maintain awareness of new / emerging technologies and their potential application to existing or future service offerings.
  • Manage day-to-day decisions, including request priorities, work assignments and work sequencing; and interfaces with senior management to report on project and program milestones and to present project needs.
  • Assess Demand with Plan/Build to align new support services for evolving technology changes and to ensure resource capacity and capabilities are ready for new application support demand.
  • Lead a high performing team, with a culture of continuous improvement, to deliver all commitments in a timely manner.
  • Promote and cultivate team spirit and culture across the global team built on open communication, collaboration, teamwork, trust and integrity
  • Develop, lead and coordinate communications and relationships across multiple IT and product teams.
  • Establish relationships with business partners, understand business processes, and promote business unit interests
  • 15+ years’ experience in programming and development of scalable enterprise applications using J2EE, Scala or Python, Web Services and Spring Framework.
  • 3+ years of hands on experience working with Data Management, Data Architecture in a big data environment
  • Expert level knowledge in Hadoop Technology Stack – Yarn, MapReduce, Spark, Hive, Impala, HBase, Sentry, Flume and Kafka
  • Should be a hands-on person, able to write code and guide team with best practices and design principles.
  • 3+ years experience as Application manager/data manager responsible for managing team as technical lead for development, delivery and support of ETL and data centric projects
  • Solid expertise in data technologies; i.e., data warehousing, ETL, MDM, DQ, BI and Analytical Tools Extensive experience in metadata management and data quality processes and tools
  • Architect and develop data integration pipelines using a combination of streaming and batch processing techniques.
  • Hands-on working knowledge of data governance and data management
  • Experience of working on the design of enterprise data lake in multi-tenant environment
  • Experience in building end-to-end solution to migrate EDW on relational databases to Hadoop platform.
  • Collaborate with various teams, business and technology teams to gather requirements and propose solutions.
  • Lead a team of highly motivated and talented Hadoop Developers and Engineers
  • Proven leadership skills to include attracting, mentoring and retaining top IT talent and creating an environment that fosters excellence, collaboration and teamwork
  • Ability to solve complex business problems and present recommendations to senior management effectively
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
