This position is to support the Firmwide CDO and Head of Data Governance in achieving the goals of the Firmwide Data Management program. The individual will work collaboratively with teams across JP Morgan Chase’s Lines of Business (LOBs) to define and implement Data Governance processes at a firmwide level. 

This role involves end to end management of all Analytics and Reporting related to the Firmwide Business Glossary including scoping, planning, facilitating working groups, release management, etc. This candidate will serve as the key business liaison between LOB teams, Firmwide teams and other stakeholders across the firm to ensure seamless execution and delivery.

 
 
Key roles and responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Firmwide Data Management teams, PMO, and other partners to gain an in-depth understanding of the Firmwide Business Glossary and the audience
  • Facilitate working sessions with various stakeholders to understand business problems and drivers for analytics and reporting with respect to Data Governance processes
  • Partner with Technology teams at each stage of the process to lock scope and plans, define requirements and design, plan and execute on testing strategy, roll out and communicate changes to users
  • Drive improvements to the Firmwide Business Glossary and the underlying processes based on findings from Data Analytics and from user input/feedback
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert on the Data Analytics and Reporting for the Firmwide Business Glossary to support users and to drive adoption across the firm
  • Maintain and update documentation on the metrics and reports produced and published internally and across the firm. Track changes to existing processes as needed
  • Develop training content to support users of the Analytics tool and to help internal Firmwide Data Management teams use the tool with minimal overhead
  • Develop presentation material for senior management and board reporting packages
  • Drive execution of ad hoc projects across the various work streams and functions where needs arise 

   

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Information Systems
  • At least 5+ years of related work experience 
  • At least 2 years of experience in data management and project management
  • Strong understanding of Qlikview business intelligence software to help coordinate the end to end activities of Qlik and bring this expertise into the team
  • Knowledge of data governance, regulatory reporting, and finance or risk management a plus
  • Strong analytical and verbal/written communication skills 
  • Experience using QLikview
  • Experience in Data Management practices and data governance including data dictionaries, metadata repositories and data quality management tools
  • Self-motivated and proactive in identifying issues and recommending resolution to those issues
  • Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills – including ability to anticipate, access and determine solution
