As an Application Developer, you will provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs by developing applications within mature technology environments. You will utilize matured programming methodologies and languages and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation.
You will participate in project design sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution. You will participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations; provide input to information/data flow, and understand and comply to Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps. You will also adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications. Additionally, you will document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop/Enhance software application modules. You will participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications; identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues; and review and provide feedback to the final user documentation.
As a database developer/administrator, you will deliver SQL Server database solutions to support a growing suite of applications. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and learn fast with little guidance. You will be responsible for design, development, implementation and support of database code. You will develop T-SQL, ETL (SSIS), SSRS and PowerShell processes upon new and legacy systems. You will develop new solutions and provide automation to reduce manual tasks.
You will be responsible for troubleshooting solutions in DEV, QA and Production environments. You will develop reports and make metadata changes. You will be responsible for performance tuning and maintaining your solution through all phases of the development life cycle. You will create and maintain system documentation.
5+ years of SQL Development in a large enterprise environment
Strong experience in developing complex database code with T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS and SQL Server best practices to support UI, Middleware and Batch applications.
Strong understanding of high performance database design including index quality and query tuning.
Familiar with Agile development methodology
Experience with SVN a plus
Experience with SSAS and Business Intelligence is a plus.
Experience with PowerShell is a plus.
