Role Description:
Reporting to the VP of Merchant Support Europe, the Implementations Specialist is responsible for project managing and operational implementation of products, payment methods and services for new and existing clients. The Implementations Specialist acts as a direct liaison between clients, various operational departments, Sales and Relationship Mangers to achieve the above.
Key Duties:
  • Project Manage client implementations assigned by the VP of Merchant Support Europe.
  • Act as the direct liaison between all operational departments (credit, AML, onboarding and solutions architects) and the Sales and Relationship Management Team. Support efforts by assisting with the resolution of complex setup issues and corrections, when necessary.
  • Assist with the coordination of client implementations throughout the sales and onboarding process, taking ownership of issues, diagnosing problems and coordinating with the appropriate departments for resolution. Develop advanced skills in technical payment processing solutions and configurations.
  • Participate on conference calls with Sales, Relationship Managers and Clients to support completion of implementations for clients.
  • Manage Implementations workload and co-ordinate with stakeholders should obstacles arise which impact service levels and established deadlines.
  • Provide follow-up support to the Sales Team for newly established accounts to ensure correct setup and verify the timely activation of those accounts.
  • Take ownership of any issues discovered throughout this process, and provide solutions for the resolution of those issues.
  • Support team KPI reporting on projects worked.
  • Through the day to day management of implementations, highlight any improvements which may streamline the team’s processes and enhance the overall Sales and Customer Experience.
  • Support adhoc operational and management initiatives as required.


Applicants for this position will ideally have a qualification in business administration, finance or a related discipline, with previous years’ experience in the merchant implementation area, and have:
  • Knowledge of a similar industry although knowledge of e-commerce payments or financial industry is preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks.
  • Must be highly service-oriented.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with the client and internal contacts and in a timely manner as per agreed SLA.
  • Self-starter – takes ownership and drives through to resolution.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills with the ability to own and escalate accordingly.
  • High level of experience with computer software systems including Excel, Word and MS PowerPoint.
