The Financial Control function is primarily focused on ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of the Firm’s books and records with an emphasis on general ledger, operating systems and infrastructure controls across the entire lifecycle of the business.
 
A Financial Control Accounting Infrastructure Analyst will be required to work closely with line of business controllers, technology, and external reporting teams. They will engage with the business partners to provide governance support by managing the general ledger reconciliation and substantiation metrics in addition to other relevant metrics that are appropriate for sharing with Financial Control stakeholders.
 
Primary Responsibilities of a Financial Control Accounting Infrastructure Analyst will include, but are not limited to:
 
  • Work with the LOBs on business driven initiatives
  • Partner across teams to develop and publish on a monthly basis key governance metrics
  • Work with the Financial Controllers to ensure key control metrics and issues are highlighted in the appropriate forums.
  • As a part of ongoing LOB support, analyze month over month variances during the close and prepare monthly metrics and scorecards on business results for review with senior management across CIB
 
Skills:
 
  • Comfort liaising with senior management.
  • Ability to build and maintain partnerships within the various product aligned businesses and technology groups
  • Existing relationships and networks within JPMorgan CIB community would be an advantage
  • Ability to understand requirements of business, industry, and corporate drivers
  • Strong analytical skills
Required Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business 
  • Excellent desktop/spreadsheet/database skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a constantly changing environment
  • Able to critically challenge with the goal of identifying control issues
