JPMC has mobilized a global Liquidity Risk Infrastructure (LRI) program that is a firm-wide, 'mission critical' effort to enhance our liquidity risk management monitoring and reporting capabilities, which will include a redesign of the related supporting technology and infrastructure.  The LRI program will implement a world class liquidity risk reporting system complying with recently mandated new Federal and Basel regulations.  The program will include strategic data sourcing, data enrichment, analytical, monitoring, and reporting capabilities.
 
Liquidity Risk Infrastructure (LRI) program is a multi-year infrastructure initiative to support the Firm's enhanced liquidity risk management processes addressing both the external and internal requirements. The program includes strategic data sourcing from transaction processing systems, data enrichment, analytical, monitoring, and reporting capabilities.
 
The target platform must process 40-60 million transactions and positions daily, calculate risk presented by the current actual as well as model-based what-if state of the market, build multidimensional picture of corporate risk profile, and provide ability to analyze it in real time. The target LRI platform will utilize modern in-memory and non-relational data management principles, state-of-the-art methods of user interaction and must scale in horizontal and vertical directions.

 

Individual filling the role will:
  • Get involve in the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Interact with the client to understand the requirement specifications and determine development realistic timelines of  the delivery
  • Perform active front-end and back-end development
  • Deliver solutions adhering to the application development guidelines laid down

Must have:

•    7-10 years of Java/J2EE development experience.

•    Experience working on at least 1 Big Data project.

•    Experience of Object Oriented software design and design patterns.

•    Strong Core Java

•    Experience of Big data technologies and NOSQL: Hadoop, Hive, HBase

•    Hands-on experience of distributed cache technologies such as Gemfire or Hazelcast

•    Spring, Hibernate, Tomcat,

•    Strong SQL and RDBMs (e.g. Oracle)

•    Java Multithreading, Security and Performance

•    Web Service (REST)

•    Messaging formats including XML, JSON, and Google Protocol Buffers

•    Messaging – MQ/JMS/Mule

•    Unit testing frameworks (Junit) and Mocking

•    Subversion, Maven, Hudson, JIRA.

•    Ability to work effectively as a member of a team

•    Strong communication skills, both written and oral

•    A proactive approach to problem solving and decision making

•    Highly self-motivated

 Nice to Have:

•    Good experience in LINUX

•    Experience working on Spark, Impala, Cassandra

•    Experience working on Cloudera Hadoop platform.

•    Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a fast paced environment and handle multiple issues at one time

•    Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures

•    Experience within the Financial Services industry would be helpful

•    Thorough understanding of the System Development Life Cycle and Development methodologies including Agile.

•    Experience of Agile development methodology, such as Scrum or XP

•    Experience of Test Driven Development

•    Experience in working in global teams.
